I had a dream last night that they had to do surgery and it made me shorter and I suddenly became a legal dwarf.

I've got to tell you the ideal of being sedated never sits well with me, but having someone do injections into my neck vertebra scares me more. I had a bad experience with a spinal tap as a child and have very little trusts for many MD's. But having once been a certified EMT I look at the entire medical cooperation thing as a money over service thing for said cooperation anyway.

Be informed and don't be afraid to ask questions or get second or third opinions.

Thank you. I've had two C Sections, So I've had two spinals.. awake. So I kinda prefer this one not awake cause they scared the crap outta me lol I just always fear I'll be that one who doesn't wake up. I watched my son get a spinal tap too. That made me bawl like a baby.. Or at least held him while they put him out anyway. Ugh.

That's a well maintained mare and an immaculate stable, very impressive you are a talented lady.

I love the barn. It will be painted this summer, but it's an old, old barn. We redid the entire inside, but I told my husband the stalls had to be used with as much old wood as possible to keep the look.

I'm guessing you and your husband had the barn appraised before and after it's rework . I've a pretty good ideal of the total having been down that road myself. Bottom line keeping it in repair and doing occasional structural upgrades is a lot less expensive then a new barn.

Yes. It appraised for way more then the house. it could never be rebuilt this good. Even if I'm now scared of heights and don't use the hay loft like it should be used. The kids were all too happy to make it their fort

Yeah. Most new barns here in the SEUS are pole barns, economical and easier to build, but I doubt you'll see many hundred year old plus pole barns later on. The greatest threat of barns like yours are fire and tornado, they hold up well to straight line winds. Given your state of residence and dependent upon coastal proximity you have lower storm risks.
