Obama Is So Full Of Shit

I don't actually have anyone on ignore, currently. Mostly I just ignore threads that start with a C&P.
Mostly.

But yes, I recognize KO as being at least as prolific in his C&P of entire articles from sources with known bias.

The one item that seems differentiates KO with the vetteman, at least as far as their style is concerned, it that Orfeo usually demonstrates that he has both read and understood the content of whatever C&P he's posted. Enough so that he can often defend his position well enough that whatever opponent(s) (usually the vetteman) resorts to hurling insults before the thread winds down.
The vetteman, not so much. Worse, when called on to defend whatever he's posted, The vetteman also, more often than not, resorts to a very small number of logical fallacies (including insults) before running away.

I call bullshit. I have given up any serious engagement with Oreo. He was trying to argue economics and the stock market, then admits he has never personally invested a dime, ever, has no idea how stocks are bought and sold. He parrots crap from salon and that is it. He is almost as dumb as LukatmeLukatme.

The man is a practicing LAWYER and he says the important part of the constitution is the PREAMBLE!

I said the Preamble sets out what the Constitution is about. That's why it's there. And it makes clear the Framers did not have any "charter of negative liberties" in mind.

I call bullshit.

As soon as KO gets all hysterical outragey over a C&P written by Tyler fucking Durden....
http://wp.patheos.com.s3.amazonaws.com/blogs/christianpiatt/files/2013/06/tyler-durden.jpg

Or when KO goes into fits of rage over what one of Dean Koontz characters blogs you can call him as bad as vette.

Till then vettey is the sultan of dip shit C&P's....absolute gold medal champion because he is THAT fucking dumb and out of touch with reality.

Tyler Durden sends him into fits of rage.....seriously....think about that. Now go nurture your inner 18y/o and watch Fight Club, it's good for Jack's colon.

If I paid more attention to KO's C&P threads, I might be in a position to disagree. As it is, I don't have any dogs in whatever arguments you have with him.

Never!

Laurel has decided to selectively enforce this rule for the first time in the 11 years I've been here.

That's not true.

Laurel said she doesn't go looking for copyright violations, but instead relies upon others to report them. Once they are reported, she removes them.

It's true that it is the first time she's ever exercised that authority on one of my posts in the 11 years I've been here.

Run run run with that goal post granpa LOL

So some liberal who doesn't believe in free speech doesn't want to see what I have presented, so they cry to Laurel to have mu posts censored. First it's get out of the GB because Playgrounders don't believe in free speech, and now there's an excuse to censor the Politics Board with a rule #3 proscription for the first time in 11 years. Miles asked a question, when has this
happened to a liberal?

Can't break the rules on a privately owned message board? Awww himz so victim!! A VICTIM DAMN IT!! LOL

And the politics board hasn't been around for 11 years you fucking moron.

This place is evolving into exactly what I and others predicted it would.

Then LEAVE....GET THE FUCK OUT GRMPY PEE PANTS.

Yes, yes, you're quite the victim. Poor, poor you, your first amendment rights to steal other people's work. It's an outrage

This sounds like a "Vetteman fact", like the one about no President attending college before Woodrow Wilson.

I've seen plenty of posts edited out because they were in violation of forum guidelines, even posts like yours that C&P in it's entirety copyrighted materials. Someone probably reported your post since the mods likely don't have time to proof every post on the board.

So, suck it up cupcake, you broke the rules and got your little peepee slapped. Playing the victim just makes you look like even more of a wank-stain than usual.

So contact the outlet and tell them you'd like permission to reprint the article under the Fair Use laws on copyrighted material. If you have written permission to reprint, then Laurel won't have to worry about being sued.

Heh.

Veteran claiming his free speech rights are being violated because he cannot steal someone else's intellectual property.

What makes it even richer is that Article I, Section 8, Clause 8 of the Constitution secures those property rights with the true author.

Vette and Query.... Kings of Constitutional Law.

Until they're called on the bullshit and lies.. Then they're track stars.

You should ask for your money back and log-off forever.
Right? Right.

The federal government sent incorrect tax information to about 800,000 people who purchased health insurance last year through HealthCare.gov and asked them to delay filing their returns, Obama administration officials said Friday.

The mistake, which affects a critical part of the president's signature health-care law, could slow tax refunds for many Americans who depend on the money for their family's *finances. The people who received the wrong information rely on subsidies to help purchase medical coverage through HealthCare.gov that otherwise might be unaffordable.

That kind of thing is pretty much SOP for any government-run program.

Nobody has stole anything you idiot. It's fair use, there is no commercial gain, and you engaged in the same thing for years and nobody has pulled your articles down. Nobody has pulled down KO's walls of text.

It wasn't fair use.
Section 107 contains a list of the various purposes for which the reproduction of a particular work may be considered fair, such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research. Section 107 also sets out four factors to be considered in determining whether or not a particular use is fair.

The purpose and character of the use, including whether such use is of commercial nature or is for nonprofit educational purposes.
The nature of the copyrighted work.
The amount and substantiality of the portion used in relation to the copyrighted work as a whole.
The effect of the use upon the potential market for, or value of, the copyrighted work.

http://www.copyright.gov/fls/fl102.html

If you follow Laurel's rules, it's fair use.

Republishing the bulk of the work is not fair use.

Nobody has stole anything you idiot. It's fair use, there is no commercial gain, and you engaged in the same thing for years and nobody has pulled your articles down. Nobody has pulled down KO's walls of text.

The courts have held since 2001 that copying entire articles (like you did) and reposting them on other sites (like you did) is a violation of copyright law. Commercial gain does not apply in this case. The appeals court affirmed the lower court ruling.

Go peddle your novel legal interpretations elsewhere, thief.

I think one of the reasons Laurel is so down on people ripping off copyrighted material is that so much has been pirated or plagiarized from this site. People all over the web use stories, without permission of the authors, that appear on this site and they use them for commercial gain and provide neither compensation nor accreditation. Some of them are even Laurel's competitors.

Copyright law, another thing added to the very long list of things that VetteBigot knows nothing about.

Perhaps, but there's also the precedent that Jim Robeson over at Free Republic argued the exact same argument advanced by Vetteman here in Federal court. He lost and incurred a one million dollar fine.

Gives a guy pause, it does.

Well, he definitely didn't make a profit on his copyright infringement after that fine.

I love how the "patriots" are so eager to rail against one of the cornerstones of the free market: intellectual property rights.

You'd think they'd all sucked on Chairman Mao's tit in their eagerness to ignore that property right
