Hate Valentine's day. Day people are forces to show they love each other. Anytime throughout my life when I was in a relationship I tell them get me NOTHING on that day. One didn't listen bought me roses. There's a waste of money for something to die

Right there with you. Dumped a girl once on vday for getting me a gift. I appreciated the gesture but don't fake it on one day if its not true the 364 other days of the year.

I shall be spending most of V_Day on stage entertaining happy couples in love,
then going home on my own, to a bottle of vodka, a takeaway Chinese meal and wishing I had someone to cuddle up to. As this is the 5th valentines in a row , it has been this way you would think I would have got used to it by now.........

I'm with you there. I have a significant other, but they are working that day which means I won't see them at all...... I won't get time with them until Monday....

The whole event is a nonsense. Why is it that on some arbitrary date we have to prove our love for someone? Shouldn't we be demonstrating that all the time? Wouldn't your significant other appreciate some random box of chocs or flowers throughout the year? Insane.

Well plans have changed, we will as before be on stage doing our Valentines Burlesque show for happy couples, but now myself and the ladies have decided to go out and party till we drop and forget the fact that we are all single. Sadly Burlesque performers normally are, being in a relationship for most causes jealousy issues from partners to arise. On the plus side, last time we all went out together after a show, we all did get invited into the London Playboy club for free drinks and dancing so it is not all bad
