Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone knew of any anti-aphrodisiac's... If this at all exists loll
What I mean is rather than a kind of food to stimulate sexual desire, I'm looking for one that would suppress it.

Recently, I went to the doctor's to check out a lump that has appeared on my man-branch. Because of its presence, my 'self-love' sessions have diminished from 1-2x daily to about once every 2 or 3 days... It's kinda put me off, since the lump only appears when I'm hard, so I dare not antagonize it lolll.

However, I decided not to touch it at all til the lump goes away. But given that I'll only be getting my results on the 5th of March, this makes it a pretty hardcore task for someone who's used to jerking it 1-2 times a day..
I'm onto day 6 now and I've noticed that my sexual urges have started to be stronger and stronger. I combat the hardon either with music or, when no music is present, by trying to stop thinking sexy thoughts. It works only half-well though.
So I'm wondering if any of y'all know about any foods that can help diminish sex drive...
I was thinking broccoli.....
loll

Try Vitex. It's an herb made from the berry of the Chasteberry tree. It's called chasteberry for a reason, Monks in the medieval period used it to control their sexual urges. The tincture works best.

When my ex couldn't stand me near her and because I loved her I spent a long time looking for something to kill my sex drive. At the time if I could have popped a pill That'd wipe out my sex drive I'd have happily taken a dozen. In the end depression did the job for me and I'm thinking you'll probably want to avoid doing that!

When I looked into it (was some years ago) there wasn't really anything you could take. I think there was some herbal extract or some such nonsense but it never worked for me. Best thing I could do was find something else to distract me. I'd be interested to hear what others have to say on the topic. Even today I'd be tempted to kill my sex drive.

On a separate note I hope the lump isn't anything serious.

Do you have the patience to become an accountant?

lol I can safely say I'd rather take a nice long walk off an extra short pier than subject myself to that horror :p

Saying that our accountant would always flirt and hit on my secretary whenever he came to visit. I use to have to step in and distract him or find some way of leaving her alone. She'd always mouth the words thank you when he wasn't looking. Needless to say his services were soon no longer required. :p

Snide answer: Do not think about elephants.

Working answer: Opiates reduce libido. Take hydrocodone (Vicodin, Norco) in non-toxic doses, say 2-3 tabs depending on your body weight. New FDA regs mean you must jump through a few hoops, but as Norco it's still available and cheap.

*facepalm*

Really? You seriously think a doc is going to write a prescription for highly addictive pain medication to slow down libido? That made me laugh.

Some antidepressants (SSRIs) come with side effects that reduce libido. But the problem is that they also may make it harder to orgasm. So that would make your problem worse, OP. If say, the drug you try doesn't actually work on decreasing libido but then makes you work harder to finish (eyes on you, Celexa and Lexapro).

Not to mention the other possible side effects of SSRIs; using them just to kill an erection seems unwise.

There are medications that your doctor can prescribe that will lower your libido/sex drive. There are medications specifically for that purpose that carry minimal side effects. But you might try herbal remedies first. They are cheaper and usually have little or no side effects.

I'm gonna make this clear... I don't want medication! I want foods, more natural way of reducing libido. The broccoli isn't helping! lolll

Working out? Excessively being physically active? Stress? Yoga? Meditate?

As someone who has messed up thyroid hormones, I would caution against dabbling into it too much. I know the arguments, but 'natural' is NOT always better, and can in fact cause more problems.

That said, if you want to go that route, if I recall, some say that liquorice may lower testosterone. Here's a list from Wiki

I already eat quite healthy and play hockey 4-5 times a week.. I'm pretty active. Perhaps I'll try yoga...

But bear in mind that i need this temporarily while I figure out what that lump is. It's hard (no pun intended) cuz part of me really just wants to let it out, but I'm really in a situation where less is better lol.

I'm definitely not looking to do this for a very long time... And I'm definitely looking to avoid any pills...

Let me sum this up:

You are trying to stop thinking sexy thoughts and ask for advice on a porn board?

Hm.

You're essentially asking for a homeopathic remedy (food) to provide relief during the diagnosis and treatment of a medical problem. Your best bet is to either have a homeopath treat the "lump" or to discuss your excessive libido with your medical doctor. As Fire has mentioned, homeopathic remedies do carry side effects. Some of them are desired, like when we take melatonin for sleep. Some of them can worsen a situation or create new problems. Many "natural" remedies can interact with medicine and, for this reason, it would be wise to discuss plans with your medical care provider.

You will not be the first person to ever consult with your physician about concerns related to erections.

Have you tried wedding cake?

That only works for women, and according to that Scandinavian study only if you follow up with fairly high doses of supplication through household chores.

@ Christopher 2002...spot on about SSRIs...but being a pharmacist you knew that you knew that.

Ask someone from the military. Rumor has it they put something in the food of service personnel posted in active zones, to keep them focused on the job :)

Is the problem, that you are afraid to rub the lump?

In that case, try to press a vibrator against the head (of the cock that is. The other possibility will just make you look..... erotically challenged).
It should fire the load without manipulating the shaft.

"you are not allowed to ...... " is probably the best marketing there is.

Just look at the horny bastards created by celibacy!
