Manhunt: It's a big game of tag, where you can run around the whole city if you want to. The more people the better the game. It's start off with one person being (It) and whoever the (it) person caught becomes (it) with him. The game last until everyone is caught, which most of the time last several hours.

Tops: My memory if this game isn't strong, but I still remember the game. I know you need at least two tops and some coins ( I prefer quarters). You put the coins into the top and then you melt the two tops together, or however you make your top. And then I think you create squares from the number 1 until like 9 ( I think). The object of the game is to shoot your top into all the squares in order. And if someone knock your top out of the square you have to start over from 1. It was a great game.

Pencils or spoons: My generation played spoons, but my parents generation played pencils. Spoons for me was a great way to kill time in class or at school. You get a plastic spoon, you bend and bite the tip so it can be hard. The object of the game is to break your opponent spoon before he breaks yours. You break it by hitting his spoon with the back tip of your spoon. You pull it back and let it go like a sling shot. Pencils is the same way.

Catch a girl get a girl: A game of chase where the boys chase after the girls. But when the boy catch a girl they become boyfriend and girlfriend. A good elementary game.

Ding Dong Ditch: You ring someone doorbell and wait until they come to the door and then you run and hope that they chase you.

Hopscotch: I think everyone knows what hopscotch is.

This is just a reminiscing vent thread for me. If you have any other games you can add them. I'm just reminiscing.

Capture the Flag

Jumpsies (made the "rope" out of elastic bands)

Four Square

Annoying your mom by juggling tennis balls against the wall of your house, and ducking them under your leg and stuff... Was there a name for that?

Cat's cradle

Red Rover

Hide and Seek - we used to play it with all the kids on our street until the streetlights came on and we had to go in.

We use to play ding dong ditch all the time.. these days kids would get arrested..

We still play Capture the Flag. Like my little brother who's 14 plays that right now.

Kids still play this too!

I was hide and seek master. I have amazing ninja hiding abilities, AND I can find people really easily. Of course, I did tend to play with dumbasses.

I'm trying to think of games that I played that I don't see kids playing anymore and the only thing I can think of is "run around the hills like a dumbass for 6 hours". Where you just go out with your friends/cousins/one kid everyone hates and run around the hills climbing trees and pushing people down hills and shit. There's no real name for it. It's basically the adult's way of saying, "Go be stupid somewhere where I don't have to deal with it."

Cowboys and Indiana reminds me of Cops and Robbers.

I've heard the term "Cowboys and Indians" but it's essentially war right? Like a racist version of the game war? Where you take toy guns or airsoft guns and have two teams and shoot at each other and talk strategy and shit? We still have it, it's just less racist because fuck you, past. Genocide is not a fucking children's game.

Hide and seek (everybody has a variation of it)

Red Rover

Dodge Ball

Cross out baseball (when you don't have enough for one team let alone two)
