So I went to a spa, and was sitting around, and the Grammys were on. The sound was off (thankfully), and they had closed captions on.
Nearly every single song was a terrible, vapid love song that read like it was written by the same 1990s computer program.
With the exception of Annie Lennox (who I would marry in a heartbeat), not a single one of the performers had a shred of talent.
I realize that this isn't anything new, and that mainstream music has by and large sucked for just about forever... but this brief foray into pop culture reminded me why record sales are plummeting, and no how these are the last vestiges of a desperate and self-inflated industry of fools and clowns.
So... what's the last album you bought?
