But the smaller forums are dedicated to specific topics, and you can find some interesting communities lurking there. Want to connect with other people getting their GED? There's a forum for that. How about people in just your city? Virtually every mid/major city in the U.S. has its own forum. Fetishize tea pots? Yep, there's that, too. Think of a topic, search for it, and there's probably a subReddit for it.

Comments are voted up or down by other posters, based on how well the comment contributes to the topic, and people reply to either the main post or an individual comment. Think of it like a tree with giant braches twisting in every direction and many small twigs sprouting.
