Should icloud celebrity nude photo hacker be fed into plastic shredder?

The internet has amazing potential that is clearly being realized. It has become an essential part of everyday life. Hackers are trying to destroy this in a very malicious way. I place hackers on the same level as kidnappers. We cannot live in a society where there is the possibility of our children being abducted. That's why kidnappers are executed. The same needs to happen to hackers. The message needs to be sent that the good people of the world are simply not going to tolerate this. The punishment has to be far worse than the crime in these cases to act as a deterrent. Execute a few of these hackers and the problem is solved.

the hackers who stole and released nudes are sex offenders and they should be punished as such. prison, placed on the sex offenders register, banned from working with any vulnerable groups in future, any present or future partner informed and warned.

Ditto.

And then the people sharing the photos should be fed into the shredder.

the people sharing should, depending on their place in the food chain, be charged or given a caution. even if some of them deserve shredding.

The people who left their pictures in the cloud should be sterilised to improve the gene pool ,because anyone who is dumb enough to believe in net security does not deserve to breed .

you could say that about people walking through the wrong side of town, or people who forget to lock their front door sometimes. the perceived foolishness of the victims does not reduce the severity crime.

victim blaming is something people use as a security blanket, to convince themselves they are safe in a chaotic and uncontrollable world.

I was not absolving the hackers , but clumsily pointing out that people should not leave potentially embarrassing data in the cloud .
This also applies to other personal data .

people assumed something that was supposed to be secure was secure. that's not so idiotic when we're used to online banking and shopping. they assumed that when a company said they were safe, they were safe. add to that that a lot of devices are set to store automatically, so they might not even have been aware that the pics were on there. hindsight is a wonderful thing.

this is still a thing? they're pictures of naked women. those things are like fucking everywhere on the internet.

also, what happened to the talk this wasn't just about icloud? at least one victim said her leaked pics were never there and had been deleted for a few years and several others claimed they never used it either.

Thus illustrating the idiocy of hackers and sharers who attribute more value to said photos just because a celebrity was involved.

...

Just look at the way the 14 year old boys here get all giggly in the pic threads. Perhaps finding naked women on the internet isn't as easy as you think it is.

Look who's nude photos made it into the list of celebrities who fell victim to the fappening icloud hack.

Of course this was completely unrelated to the actual hack and I found these photos of her on her candid fetlife profile, the timing of my finding these photos just so happened to coincide with the celebrity icloud photo hack, and I guess someone decided to integrate them into the list of victims.

#batshit

The continual, ignorant misuse of the word "hacker" is the friggin' crime.

If they are ever caught, it's likely that the hacker or hackers responsible for hacking the apple icloud servers to obtain nude photos of major celebrities, will receive some of the longest prison sentences ever handed down to anyone in the entire history of the United States criminal justice system.

Here is a list of the longest prison sentences ever in history. It's extremely likely that the hacker(s) will be added to this list if and when they are caught and convicted.

Last year, kidnapper and rapist Ariel Castro was sentenced to a staggering 1,000 years in prison for kidnapping three women and repeatedly raping and torturing them in his basement where he held them captive, over the course of a decade.

His is one of the longest prison terms ever handed down to anyone here in America. But it could easily be exceeded by the hacker(s) responsible for the icloud photo hack.

I wonder if it's possible for them to be prosecuted under cyber-terrorism laws and possibly face capital punishment.
