I read that the NSA/CIA/US Intelligence community secretly places very cleverly hidden cameras and microphones inside thousands of different household electronic devices and appliances.

There are eyes and ears inside almost every single US household.

They can even watch you shower and have sex.

Well. I guess the dishwasher wasn't talking to you after all.. seems you just overheard its report on you to the NSA.. and the microwave confirmed it.

Well, duh...

Hence the term, "microwave transmission."

A mic in my house would be useless unless they want to hear a woman singing poorly.

In the movie 1984, everyone's apartment was wired for audio and video surveillance.

The purpose of this surveillance was to see who was dissenting against the state.

We all know what happened to Winston for committing the crime of having sex.

Well, I'd still be safe, unfortunately.

there is no such thing as privacy anymore.

unless you need to prosecute.

then it is all off limits.

You planted a bug in Heather Hoffman's house, didn't you?

If I had training as a professional espionage operative, the first thing I would do is figure out a way to safely spy on Heathyr Hoffman without getting caught.

This is all fantasy, of course, and I have NO way of doing this, but I'd love to watch her on her computer through her webcam, view all of her computer use and internet browsing activity in real time, and I would also like to intercept every single photograph she takes with her smartphone.

Oh my god, just think of all the Heathyr Hoffman noodz and porno I would collect!

Just like INGSOC/big brother from 1984.

I hope Mike has not thrown out all of his consumer electronic devices for privacy reasons. We will suffer the loss, and the NSA will be pissed.
