I'm currently slowly making my way through Mawaru Penguindrum, and there's one aspect of it that I think would make for a good story. One of the characters has a diary that she thinks foretells her fate. 12:00 - First Kiss, stuff like that. She's trying to make sure that everything in the diary comes true.

I was thinking of something similar for a story. The main character finds a diary, and after opening it, they realize it's their own handwriting inside of it, but the most recent date is tomorrow, and it describes something unusual, say, them winning $50 on a lottery ticket. The next day, the remember it, and give it a try, and they find that it comes true. Over the next few days, some other events get written into the diary. "Went skinny dipping," "Got a blowjob," "Had a threesome," things like that, and they spend the day wondering how things will work out.

I like this. I've seen non-erotic variants: The person who summons a damaged demon to fetch tomorrow's newspaper. The person who writes tomorrow's diary entry or news report with a magic pen or typewriter or whatever, and whatever they write, happens. And your example, where she tries to enact her diary's predictions.

Your version opens various possibilities. Do they TRY to enact the next day's events, or do the events just happen, maybe despite them trying otherwise? Does the diary say one will cheat and predict the other's reaction? What is the trade-off between free will and fate? Is the tale comedic, farcical, tragic, or just a hot stroker?
