Grace: please explain the many references

Who is Grace and why do I keep seeing references to her?

From what I gather, she was a prolific poster who left in "disgrace" but I don't really know the story.

Why did she leave such a mark on the GB? Was she really hot? Extremely political and ruffled feathers? What is the deal?

I guess the most interesting part is Grace's alleged crime during her term as a vice principal (at a different school than the boy in question), as Saint Pete described. If she did that she might have been breaking parole terms by posting on a board like this one.

But the back story is, Grace burst onto the GB scene as a chatty, clever and flirty woman. Kind of annoying, since she kept bumping old fluff threads to enrich the nature of the board. She didn't talk politics much, but when she did they were on the conservative side and she made one or two off colour comments about black welfare queens or something. She was fond of busybody and said she liked his politics. But, she integrated herself into the forum by being witty and flirtatious and using her face and bod in her avatars. She also made a couple of enemies after she crossed some with off-board shenanigans, but the details of that never actually came out openly on the boards. It has only ever been hinted at by hurt, but discreet participants.

One day, an anonymous tipster gave the dirt on Grace to two or three people (can't remember who, SeanH was one) and one of them started a thread about it. The tip was an article with her face shown and details about a sordid matter involving a minor, parole etc.

The tipster apparently claimed that they found this info by matching Grace's face to a Google Image search. I'm very skeptical about that. I think the source must have been someone who actually met her or who she confided her real name to, who simply looked it up and found that news stories about her.
That day she changed her avatar to a flaming middle finger and disappeared, leaving the board to speculate and generate multiple threads about the scandal.

Perg was a board buddy and supporter of her's and was incredulous at first. I think he started a big thread too, but I guess it got zapped. One or two people said the crime wasn't really a crime after all and that she'd been unfairly targeted and double-crossed for reasons unknown. Her politics? Her off-the-board heartbreaking ways? In the end she had only one vocal supporter.

I thought "manatee warrant" was a reference to the unlawful, morbidly obese picture she sent.
