23 year old guy here who's fiance cheated on him. Not really sure what to do, but hoping some people on here might cheer me up

Happens to best of us, maybe time to move on and find someone that truly will love and respect you.

All the best.

Well...

Considering the number of married folks here on lit - this might not be the best place to seek advice.

And to be just a lot cynical - dude, that line beats bringing a kid AND a golden retriever to a park full of moms. Talk about chumming the waters...

As I said - I was being very cynical.

Since you are asking - and have not said so I'm free to assume - it would appear you are not wanting an open relationship. Trust broken is hard to regain.

Depends on what you want to do. Demand the ring back (again assuming you gave her one), have a scene and then feel like crap afterwards.

Try to understand, be supportive - and likely walked all over. Feel like crap afterwards.

Forgive and forget - which of course you won't. Suspicion and distrust all the days of your life. And of course feel like...

Figure wtf - take advantage and bone as many of the maids of honor you can. Yeah, you'll feel like crap but what a way to go!

Seems like at this point all roads lead to - feel like crap.

I say stay with her. Let her lab the wedding and spend all that money. Then let everyone know. Lol. Sorry it happened

I turned to chat here when my live-in boyfriend cheated on me. I didn't have anywhere to go. I was sick at the time (but didn't know it). I just chatted with guys. I was never into it, but I met this one guy and fell in love. I had phone sex with him. Years later I called him when I was in a dire condition. He saved my life.

You should keep your spirit up. I know it is hard now, and you've had the wind knocked out of you, but move forward. There is someone out there who will respect you and love you. :rose:

Get the ring back, kick her to the curb and move on.
You're 23. Spend the next ten years having fun as a bachelor, getting your career going and so on.
And be bloody grateful this happened NOW instead of five years into your marriage.

sorry to hear

i know its easy to say and hard to do but you should move on. even if you stay the trust is gone. And nobody should be in a relationship if there are trust issues.

here's hoping you get through it all. :)

Ditto. I know it's hard to see this, but focusing on a career when you're young is better than focusing on relationships. Better for self-confidence in a lot of areas and for long-term.

Good luck!

AMEN. Better he found out now rather than later.

It's hardest to be unfaithful the first time you cheat, after that, it's far easier. Unless you can get used to the idea of her fucking other men after you're married, walk away.

Consider yourself lucky that you found out now, instead of after you married her.

This. 23 is too young to be stuck, broke, and popping out babies.

You don't see it now, but she probably did you the biggest favor.

It sucks to be hurt like that, and I'm sorry you had to go through it. Don't do anything dumb, definitely don't follow the "get even" advice. The best way to get even is to go out there, be successful, and get a hotter girlfriend. :)

Ok we've heard a lot of 'lynch the bitch" but I have to ask, how were things between the two of you before she cheated? I've never known anyone to cheat when they were happy. It isn't logical. Were you happy? Was she? My advice, yeah it's likely over between the two of you. I hope you find something or someone to make you happy again soon. Life is short and needs to be filled with smiles not tears.

Feel for ya dude, I say dump the bitch and move on (speaking from experience).

yes - agree with Marshall ... broke up with the ex. then found out she was already starting to flirt heavily with a guy at the office (talking about buying him underwear etc.) - so that put a stop to any reconciliation thoughts

happens to the best - don't take it personally - cheer up mate! Met the love of my life after it happened & you may too!

I know it hurts…

But you are on literotica, why not turn it in to a kinky thing you both can work through in a fun, constructive, healing manner?

I'm 55 years old, I've been cheated on by so many men and I've cheated on so many good men. It's what kinky people do.

I joined this site this morning, just to tell you to lighten up. Kinky girls have been through a lot to get kinky and the boundaries aren't always that good, if you really love her, and she really loves you, it's just sex!

It would break my heart if my boyfriend/submissive were to cheat on me, it would hurt a lot, but I would never give up that golden human being because he fucked someone. Look at where we are, we treat sex differently then the regular population does. Don't buy into that bullshit that we have to be sexually perfect! That we have to be 'true'!

Now there are real issues to be concerned with, like safe sex, your lover being manipulated or abused, your ego...

I say turn it into something fun, allow some time to pass, and then get over it. I think the best way to get over it is to make a list of all the reasons you love that person: I love this person because...

That is some bullshit. I've never cheated on anyone I was in a relationship with, and I'm pretty kinky. If you're not getting your needs met in your relationship, then either have a talk about having an open relationship, or end the relationship. Don't pretend that your "unfortunate" situation has left you with no choice but to cheat. It has absolutely nothing to do with kinkiness, and everything to do with respecting your partner. If he doesn't want an open relationship, (and it sounds like he's pretty damn upset over being cheated on) then he should be with someone who doesn't cheat.

For what it's worth, I'm fully aware that pretty much everyone cheats, and that life is complicated, blah blah blah.

I would be tempted to shame her at the altar haha. What a brilliant revenge. But even then, you're better than that and as others have said before it is better that it has happened now as opposed to later in the marriage.
You're really young and you have so many opportunities ahead of you. It's tough but you can either sit and let her depress you or grab life by the balls, or rather tits since you're a dude, and show the world how fuckin awesome you are.

I'm not sure how you're defining kinky and so I'll avoid any personal slams or accusations. That being said, you're dead wrong about what kinky people feel. Seriously, this post sounds like it's written by the girlfriend who just cheated. If you really love her and she really loves you - you'll have the guts that it takes to be honest about what you need so that your relationship remains loving and trustful.
Once it's just sex, it's time to realize that it's not a relationship.. and it's ok to have "just sex" if that's what you've both signed up for.. but it's a decision you both make instead of just one of you.

and to echo what many others have said..
The best revenge is a life well lived.
