I'm talking about the song that makes you lose your shit. The song that you have to sing no matter where you are. The song that makes you feel so good even though you sound so bad. I got many, what's yours?

Last Christmas by George Michael

That song is my fucking jam. It's the reason the holidays are good.

That and anything by Taylor Swift.

Kanye's Gold Digger

Elvis Costello's Tokyo Storm Warning

Rasputina's Diamond Mind

I live in the country, so no cable internet and no links. :(

Music is the ambrosia to feed a person's soul. Whether you think you're a Caruso or a Cruise, SING!

I sing all the time. Sometimes I don't even realize that I am doing it!

Last week, I was leaving Costco, and the girl who checks your receipt says "I remember you! You were singing back there where the salads and pizzas are." I was all like "Huh?" and she says "Yeah. I was thinking how great it was you were so happy about shopping." I had no idea I was singing amongst the salads.

My current favourite song, which I am loving right now, is Ed Sheeran's Thinking Out Loud. Love that song. Oh, and of course Uptown Funk is great cranked up to sing along while you're driving.

The one and only time I was drunk enough to karaoke, I sang "Brandy" by Looking Glass in a bar filled with my friends after being coaxed. Afterwards, I had friends come up to me saying they thought they had been listening to the juke box and some wanted to do a duet with me. I declined and haven't sand in public since. The shower? now that's another thing!

I do have to say Black Hole Sun by Soundgarden brings me back to my high school days. I'll scream to that.

Young World. Ricky Nelson didn't have a great vocal range, and I certainly don't.

I also like to think I could sing low harmony on the Beatles' Words of Love, but the sad truth is I couldn't carry a tune in a cargo shipping container.
