Good maybe we'll get a real conservative this time, like Scott Walker.
Romney left with a jab at Bush by saying the nomination ought to go to the next generation of Republicans.
I find it interesting that the three Dems mentioned most prominently as possible candidates in 2016 will all be in their late 60's or over 70 by election day 2016.
ETA: Here is a comprehensive list: http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs...n-a-decade-older-than-republicans-on-average/
Hillary will get Pearl Harbor, Midway, and kamikaze action if she runs.
Jim Webb and Scott Walker look like the real players to me.
Jim Webb
Jim Webb has Naval Academy integrity issues that will bite him in the kiester if he takes a serious run. And he's about a mile wide and an inch deep.
Whatever his faults, he'd better qualified than Silly Hilly.![]()
Senator from Virginia vs. carpetbaggingSenator from New York
Secretary of the Navy vs. Secretary of State.
??? vs. already in the White House for eight years
??? vs. already a major contender in a presidential nomination campaign
One thing in common, though. James Webb once was a Democrat too, but proved quite willing to flip-flop parties for convenience sake.
Nope. Close but no cigar.
You really are mired in that bullheaded partisanship "thing," aren't you? Facts don't mean a thing to you, do they? Don't answer that? I've been around for some time. I know that demonstrable facts don't mean much to you.
What is the relevance in the fact she was one of the many women Bill Clinton was fucking for eight years? What is the relevance in her losing in 2004?
Webb is also a decorated war hero, which is something Hillary can't match.
ETA: Webb is still a Democrat. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_Webb
Well, that qualifies you not only as really, really stupid, but also as a chauvinist pig, Box. Congrats on the two fer. You obviously weren't around for the Clinton years and reading the political news then if you didn't realize the political work she was doing then. (Maybe you weren't listening when she said she didn't bake cookies) But did we have Fox news during the Clinton administration? Maybe you didn't have anyone to tell you what to think then.
Not that you do much thinking now.
You certainly don't know what "being qualified" is or what the qualifications are for the job.
Oh, is Webb a Democrat again? He's flip-flopped for convenience so often that I must have lost count.![]()
So far as I know, Webb has always been a Democrat. He was one while serving in the Senate. Before then, he was basically apolitical.
Here is how his time at Annapolis was described: At Annapolis, Webb was a member of the Brigade Honor Committee and the Brigade Staff. When he graduated in 1968, he received the Superintendent’s Letter for Outstanding Leadership
I do know Hillary advocated a misbegotten idea about health care, but it was shot down by Congress.
