Loretta Lynch -- USAG confirmation hearings

They've mostly left Lynch alone, which makes sense since there's so little in her track record that's objectionable.

But the parade of irrelevant jackhole witnesses, topped off by the testimony of the certifiable Sharyl Attkisson, is a nice little preview of what we can expect now that Pa Kettle is chairing the Judiciary Committee (to say nothing of the leadership of other committees).

I will never be able to look at them, without imaginning them in the clown costumes and the clown makeup, from Killer Klowns from Outer Space.

Well, it ain't entirely boring . . .

Republicans used the confirmation hearings this week for Loretta Lynch, President Obama’s attorney general nominee, to stress their commitment to voting restrictions—and to try to tie Lynch’s hands on voting issues should she assume the post.

One GOP senator pressed Lynch on her stance on restrictive voting laws. And Republicans asked for testimony from a witness who has led the effort to stoke fear over voter fraud, suggested her group was targeted by the Obama administration because of her group’s support for voter ID laws.

Under Attorney General Eric Holder, the Justice Department has acted aggressively to protect voting rights, challenging strict GOP-backed voting laws in Texas and North Carolina. Holder also has seemed to compare these laws to past efforts to keep minorities from voting. So Republicans sought to put pressure on Lynch to take a more conciliatory approach.

Lynch says illegal aliens have just as much of a right to work in America as a citizen, since there are federal laws on the books that say it is illegal for any employer to hire, recruit or refer for a fee any alien not authorized to work in the United States. I think her opinions to the contrary disqualify her for the job of Attorney General. She's another Obama radical promoted on the basis of her race and ideology.

Have you checked the papers of the guy who mows your yard?

"Senator, I think the right and obligation to work is one that is shared by everyone in this country regardless of how they came here and certainly if someone is here, regardless of status, I would prefer that they be participating in the work place than not be participating," Lynch said.

Well? Wouldn't you? You want your tax dollars supporting a buncha immigrants on welfare?
