...when there were nothing but interesting threads on the GB. Do you miss anyone in particular that used to post and is no longer here? If so, what did they bring to the board that kept you here? *queue trolls*

i miss the smart ones who could think for themselves. sadly, they are no more.

Is it that time of the month for the "I remember when lit was good" thread? Time sure flies.

i bring original material on the daily, so for me /every/ day is the best day on Lit. :

the old days were balls

Many who made Lit exciting and fun are still here...but it's like slipping on an old shoe now. Comfortable but kinda dull.

I subscribe to the "it's what you make it", but I just haven't had the time or inclination to put more effort in.

Maybe I need to go shoe shopping!

I'm with you on that! I don't know, coming back seemed interesting and then I keep asking myself where all the character and personality went.

Is it a thing around the new year that we come out of hiding? I don't know the pattern. There must be one.

Anyone?

O, and I miss Sheath.

I don't know, I haven't been here in awhile, but you could be correct.

I hate to say this...but I think we grew up and grew apart from who we were 'back in the day'. What could once pass for a fun and scandalizing time now just tastes like left overs.

The people I was closest to have other means of connecting and we use it more often than we come here. I think it's likely true for most people here. Lit used to be our primary method of contact, now it's a fall back.

Yeah, I can see that. I only came back to see how one friend was doing, to see if anything has changed and to read up on stories that I never read before because I was too busy on the GB. How does the saying go, 'I'm too old for this shit'?

The ghosts of xmas past! :)

I agree, I've kept touch with people through the social mediums... but we'll never forget our roots.

LukkyKnight. There are others, also, who were so kind to me when I first started posting here. I did get a razing by (criminy if I can remember his name right now) for my name "fala".

Fala was the name of F.D.R.s dog. I took it all in good humor tho. People here didn't seem so cruel as I've seen over the later years.

LukkyKnight...God Bless, I hope he is still on this earth and holding the hands of and being such a friend to strangers as he was to me...and having the kindness he deserves given right back to him, wherever he may be.

The GB has always been home to some of the most intelligent, thoughtful and funny people I've ever encountered. Many are still here.

Others are not and are greatly missed.

Hang around, Bent...there are still interesting and fun threads...and NOW we have YOU back, doll!

's
