I am eating some spaghetti a client made for me and damn, it's spicy. I'm not one to eat spicy foods much.

Do you like your food spicy? If so what do you like hot?

I put a little Louisiana Hot Sauce in my spaghetti. It isn't that spicy but gives it a little zip.

Sirachi Chili Garlic sauce when you want some serious spicy.

My kids learned to make Salsa with Jalepenos from a roommate I had who's was from Sonora Mexico. That is as spicy as I go.

Mix some coconut milk or yoghurt into it, Pink and it will taste a bit less spicy.

I like some spices and other not. I can handle southern Indian cooking better than northern, it's weird.

I dine out a lot. Spice can add a lot, especially when Bobby Flay is the chef. I love spice jelly beans.

I don't care for curry.

But ordinarily, since a lot of my life was spent raising, processing ,preserving and preparing food, I usually suspect spice is a way to disguise food that is no longer fresh, or wasn't at it's prime to begin with. That isn't necessarily true, but I like to be able to taste everything that's on my fork. Sometimes spices work against that, especially when the chef is a smoker.

I ate some chili the other day that was so hot, I thought I was going to vomit. :(

From my pickled cabbage and bulgogi to my soft chicken tacos and Italian sausage...if my eyes don't watter it's fuckin' lame. Got to have good flavor though, I'm not a fan of the 'spicy as hell but taste like complete shit" peppers. So yea I guess I have my limits but I do enjoy a good sweat from lunch/dinner.

i like a good kick, but there is a time and a place for a simple oatmeal.

i am amazed at blandness of most european and midwestern meals. someone posted a recipe once here and warned about the heat level. there was barely any spice.

My spaghetti sauce is on the Arrabiatta side, I like appropriate food to give my palate quite a kick. Nose running, eyes tearing, lips burning.

It's kinda strange how some people have a really low tolerance to spicy foods. I remember eating an assortment of BW3 chicken wings with some co-workers and one of them got beet red and began sweating profusely while eating the medium wings. For a sec, I thought he was having a heart attack. I was eating the mango habañero wings with no problems. It takes the inferno wings to get my blood flowing a bit.

I like spice, but not so much as to make the experience something that brings up thoughts of enhanced interrogation. When I make jalapeno poppers I always leave some of the veins in to give them a little more bite.

I hate this. when I buy something that says it's spicy and all I get is bland. it happens so often it's depressing.

I like certain heat but I don't like it to be so distracted by my mouth burning that I can't taste anything else.

Like Buffalo Wings no problem, Jalapeno flavored stuff is alright with the right blend of cheese and salt. Habanero is the same. Tried some Sriracha flavored jerky the other day and wasn't fond of it. Nor the Cholula hot sauce flavored either.

One time tried wasabi with some sushi. I opened the packet and decided to taste test it first, just a little dab on my tongue. Like, literally, I touched my tongue to the stuff and that's it and it overwhelmed me for several minutes, crying and my sinuses feeling like someone took a pipe cleaner and shoved it up my nostrils, scrubbing vigorously.

Also tried horseradish on a sandwich once and couldn't eat it after a few bites. I put it on there mostly because I remember trying horseradish on/in something before and liking it. Maybe that was Arby's horsey sauce.

I enjoy spicy food and make really hot salsa every week, I am used to it though.

Probably was Arby's sauce or something similar- they're mostly mayo.
I confess a joy and tolerance for horseradish. I like my cocktail sauce the same pale pink color as the shrimp.

I love spicy foods :D
At any one time there are at least 8 or 9 varieties of chilli sauce in my pantry, and the same number of fresh chilli varieties in my fridge.
I alao have several types of curry blends that I've made up in my freezer, ready to cook with.
I also like mustard heat, pepper heat, paprika heat and horseradish heat.
Each one, used correctly, brings a certain something to the right dish.
I never add spice for heats sake - I like my food to have flavour with the bite!

Except for thai sugar pea salad..... it's made with equal amounts of sliced sweet sugar peas and sliced green chillies. Hot as hell, but oh so yummy!

I like flavorful spicy.

I do not like "prove your manhood" can't taste a fucking thing otherwise, body sweating AND numb spicy.

Currently in the fridge/spice rack I have a dozen different types of spice/heat- yum!
