Sometimes you just want someone to talk to. So if you want to talk or rant you post on here or even PM me I will answer when I can.

Glad you made it. We were all sitting around hoping someone would show up to talk to. Welcome.

Have you tried chat?

Yeah, but since i work all the time this is a little easier for me then chat, I can do this on my phone.

So how is the talking going so far?

Have you talked to everyone yet?

Why would he want to talk to "everyone" when he currently has garnered the attention of 1HF??

...bird in hand and that sorta thing...

...And here I was thinking your handle had to do with a love of Gyros and Baklava.

Q,
I love me some gyros and baklava.
Now I'm hungry.

Someone once tried telling me shawarmas and gyros were the same thing. Argued for 2 hours about it. They are not.
At all.

Also, sorry to the OP for posting my last message twice.
Half the time Lit works, the other time it fails.
Usually won't let you post the same thing twice.
Sincerest apologies, but still curious :)

I don't think the OP is tremendously worried that he will not have the opportunity to get out all that he has to say over the din in here.

That is one of the fun quirks of the GB, the threads that take off for no reason in particular, involving subjects and people completely unrelated to the OP or their intent.

Every time I think of Baklava I think of the crazy redhead, and m missing triangle plate. I am told the two terms together are redundant.

I was coming back from the big city and hit a grocer for provisions. I saw a good looking set of Greek pastries..are the all baklava, just different shapes? I dunno. Looked like a sampler platter.

The crazy redhead has a middle-eastern sounding last name acquired form one of her three ex-husbands. No idea how she happened to collected three of them. I asked once. "I don't like to talk about that." And she doesn't.

The pastries looked like a decent entree to stop by and see the redhead as she had mentioned having co-owned a restaurant once that featured such food. On the 3 1/2 hour ride home I got a bit peckish. So, I broke open the sticky, hone sweet treats and ate a couple. I tried rearranging them so it looked un-molested, but no luck.

I am a thrift store junkie and have several sets of specialty plates. Often just two or four with the idea that when and if I find myself a regular paramour I can rotate them for romantic effect. I had some black plates that I like to serve Asian food on. Two of them are triangular. I took one and put the desert on it and took it over to her house with a couple of beers. She complained that the beer straight out of my fridge was not sufficiently chilled, so we didn't get very far through the treats. I left the plate with her. I never went back.

On the one hand, I miss the plate. On the other, probably for the best.

It probably was for the best. I'm sure you could get another, but it wouldn't be the same.
As for baklava- it depends on who is making it. We usually make it square shaped so we can stuff it with loonies and toonies for the kids for New Years...kind of like a bring in the NY with some luck and best wishes for a steady financial future :)

I love how you tell stories. Every intricate detail was listed. Especially the part about her last name. ;)
