Whats your favorite cigarette brand?

I remember my friend Will reciting the jingle: "Winstons tastes good, like a cigarette should" when he was recounting how he had started smoking on a trip through Mexico in his twenties.

They likely contributed to the weakening of arteries that led to the aneurysm that killed him at 38. He would be 61 now, had he lived.

Man the greatest people smoked and still do. Obama does 60 a day. How come we live longer than anything else except tortoises man? I mean nothing else except beagles smoke right? Man, smoke and live a long live. If you die something else would have got you man.

Eh, the only thing I like to smoke is meat.

Ye gods, Ogg, Park Drive, Capstans and Woodbines? I'm surprised you aren't hauling an oxygen cylinder around with you.

Adinkerke, Belgium is very popular with UK smokers.

Tobacco

Belgium has lower taxes on tobacco than France or the UK; as Adinkerke is the closest Belgian town accessible to the French ferry ports, it attracts many French smokers and British booze cruisers every day to make the trip across the border to buy cheaper tobacco. Adinkerke has the unusual claim to fame of having the greatest number of tobacconists per capita of any area in Europe.

Many shops opened around the clock, which provided the advantage of offering other shops and fuel services that would not normally be found in a town of such a small size. While this may have proved beneficial to travellers, local people were inconvenienced by the constant traffic, so the local Mayor has recently ordered the tobacco stores to close during the night. Due to the smuggling associated with reduced tobacco duty, it is not uncommon for the E40 to be closed at night at junction 1 and French and Belgian police question drivers and passengers of vehicles on the N34 road over the motorway.

A weak Euro combined with increasingly expensive tobacco prices has resulted in more and more UK shoppers to make the day trip to Adinkerke to stock up on cheap tobacco. Tax increases have made the UK the second most expensive place to buy tobacco in Europe. Adinkerke tobacco shops cater to English shoppers, selling popular UK brands and accepting payment in sterling.

Holy shit "Passing Clouds" look awesome. That looks like the guy from Horrible Histories. That English King. The party king. That the dogs were named after. That fucked the actress who sold oranges. This is gonna aggravate the shit out of me until I remember his name.

King Charles II is who I was thinking of.

King Charles II.

King Charles Spaniels

The actress: Nell Gwynn 'the Protestant Whore' as opposed to The Duchess of Portsmouth 'the Catholic Whore'.

Eh, the only thing I like to smoke is meat.

I said that to someone when I was 12.
They thought it was cool to smoke.
They asked me if I smoke.
So I said,
"Yeah...I smoke chicken."

Thanks, professor. But I won't remember that unless it's in song form.

Damn that's some hardcore curlage he's got going on. Some 80s hairband shit.

Edit: Seriously man, the fact that you knew not only the king I was talking about but also the actress I was talking about from that vague of a description is really hardcore. You're awesome. I don't know anything. I just kind of know things.

With THREE clues, that wasn't difficult. Any one would have done. After all it is English history.

One of the memorable things about King Charles II is this:

We have a pretty witty king,
Whose word no man relies on;
He never said a foolish thing,
Nor ever did a wise one.

John Wilmot, 2nd Earl of Rochester, as quoted in Blackwood's Edinburgh Magazine Vol. XLIV (January - June 1857) p. 592; It is said to that this was written on the door of Charles II's bedchamber, and that on seeing it, the king replied, "This is very true: for my words are my own, and my actions are my ministers'...."

And:

“I am his Highness' dog at Kew;
Pray tell me, sir, whose dog are you?”

― Alexander Pope

Edited for PS

The picture on the Passing Cloud Cigarette Packet was of a Cavalier - one who supported King Charles I in the Civil War.
