Smart move, sir: Sanity Sam already started a thread on this, but I assume most people have him on ignore, and this is a terrible story. I love Charlie Hebdo.
 
any further news re casualties? the staff must genuinely believe in their publication to remain working there after the fire and other threats. more than just a job.
 
MSNBC and Al Sharpton identified the gun-persons as Amish extremists who rode into Paris in a caravan of horse drawn wagons.
 
"Benoit Bringer, a journalist with Agence Premiere Ligne who saw the attack, told the iTele network he saw several masked men armed with machine guns. He said two officers arrived on bicycles, then — apparently unarmed — they left."

For the chipbutty contingent who not only don't understand why citizens need guns, but are confused as to why US law enforcement feels it necessary to carry guns. In Europe Superior, the cops have no need of guns...

It was just a pack of lone wolves motivated by the internet to commit isolated and pathetically inept attacks that present no real danger to anyone...
