Thanks. I don't know why I'm so interested in this. It's just an intriguing subject.
edit....i just know when I asked my hub to have a vasectomy it was like WW3. ...i ended up getting my tubes tied....and now I'm sort of happy knowing 100% I'm in control of my future in that regard...
I didn't. ...if it was mean...ignore them!!!You didn't see the PM I got today.
I think discussion is in order when it concerns this sort of procedure, but there's no sense in a "WW III" type of argument. I'm sort of annoyed that he was against a vasectomy, but was fine with you getting your tubes tied. I don't like that, but that's just me. As long as you're content with your decision, that's what matters.
This....
We had discussed it but when the time came....
and for the record.....i do believe it's a personal choice and a discussion...not an ultimatum. I was just interested in the perceived severity or lack thereof in birth control , between the boys and the girls...
Thank you.I agree. Birth control is a discussion and a choice. Whatever the decision is, it must be okay and agreed upon by both partners. It should never be an ultimatum type of situation. I also believe in a sense of fairness where this is concerned. I'd not feel comfortable with my partner getting her tubes tied if I was unwilling to get a vasectomy. It's not right.
There's my two cents.![]()
Agree with you both - this is a mutual decision, not an individual one. It goes to the heart of what your relationship together is about now and into the future.
I have seen what you are burdened with and would be happy to hold them while you put your head in the sand.Burdens... Well, it depends on the size and nature of the burden but, generally speaking, I'm a head-in-the-sand type of girl.
Working on it.
I choose to face my burdens head on. Either I get them or they get me. But they won't win without a fight.Apologies for the somewhat obtuse topic yesterday. I attempted to intertwine a little music and subtlety to the topic. What the question was intended to be was about the burdens we all carry in life (the lion). Do you face them directly and try to resolve them or do you act and presume your actions will resolve the burden?
Obscure/obtuse does lend itself to derailment so no fines will be handed out for yesterday's actions. But......you're on the watch list

Seriously though, I don’t view a burden as necessarily resolvable. Meaning I do my best to shoulder them with as much grace as I can muster. Which generally results in some sort of temper tantrum from time to time. Apologies for the somewhat obtuse topic yesterday. I attempted to intertwine a little music and subtlety to the topic. Generally speaking, if there's only one or two "burdens" and, depending on the size and nature of them, I tackle them head on.
Currently though? I'm in a "too - much - to-deal-with-on-my-own" phase...those multiple "minor" burdens can weigh you down if not careful because you simply don't know where to start.
I plan things. Ask my children. On the way to school at 7 in the morning, I would ask them what they wanted for dinner. It seems a little "type A," but it frees me up to be available for emergencies and unexpecteds. and then, to the best of my ability, we make a plan. Not all plans are completed.. many of them are changed.. some are executed that day and some are longer in term..

I ask people at dinner what we will eat for the next dinner ...
Strolls in late, class is not cancelled.
I'll leave just an opened ended topic: in 50 words or less tells us "What Lit means to me?"
I did that before. On the first Litiquette.
Lit is a wonderful means to distract myself from RL. It is place where I can play some games, chat with friends, have serious discussions and sexy fun if I am in mood and a friend is around and in the mood.
Not to be argumentative but not what Lit is, what it means. Subtle yet important difference.
15-minute rule, I'm pretty sure class is cancelled per the Lit-U Student Handbook.Strolls in late, class is not cancelled.
