I have a story that did have some continuity errors. I've edited them out and added a little bit more to keep things clear.

Is it possible to upload the new text, and in the notes ask to have it replace the old? Or do I need to just start all over?

I think the most assured way is to delete the old one and, after it's gone, submit the new version.

You certainly can. Just submit it as a new story with the word EDITED at the end of the title and they will replace the old version with the new. Votes and comments from the old story will roll over to this one. You can change things like tags and category as well.

Unless you made major changes that dramatically affects the plot somehow or creates a completely different story, there is no need to delete and resubmit. A simple EDIT at the end of the title line and pasting the entire story in the submission box as if it were a new one is sufficient...and Laurel prefers that to minimize errors.

Also make a comment in the "Notes" box that this is an edit. Kind of redundant, but again, keeps it simple and questions-free for Laurel.

I just did the same thing with two of mine a week ago.

If you want a totally fresh start with no attached comments or votes, then delete and resubmit. If you want to correct the text and keep all your statistics, then submit an EDIT version. I have done the latter a number of times and I'll do so again in the near future.

Let's say your story is called FAR FUCKIN' OUT. Title your revised version FAR FUCKIN' OUT - EDIT. In the Notes window tell Laurel: This is an EDIT of FAR FUCKIN' OUT. Wait a few days and bask in the glory. Cheers!

I submitted an re-edited version of a chapter recently, this wasn't because of continuity, it was because there was a problem with formatting and some of the text was a bit jumbled (my fault not Literotica's). I read that this is supposed to be an automated process and the story is supposed to update after a few days. When mine didn't I PM-ed Laurel here and she replied promptly and explained the code that did it automatically was on the blink and then she did it manually.

I guess this is my convoluted way of saying if you do submit an edited version and it doesn't update after a few days PM Laurel and let her know
