Large cities, will be having large celebrations, on New Year's Eve.
Will the militarized police force be in full view, patrolling for terrorists ?

Probably some of them, but that is certainly not paranoia. I would expect there to be even more undercover cops watching for suspicious behavior in crowds, such as suicide bomb vests.

It'll be biz as usual here in NYC. Everyone knows the drill. Some knuckleheads might try to start shit, but that's a given at any time of the year here.

I'll be out but nowhere near the large crowd areas of the city. You do Times Square once during a ball drop and there's no need to do it ever again.

I visited New York once, stayed in Manhattan for three days, went to a wedding in Queens and a reception at the Tavern On The Green. After visiting what I considered to be world class museums, New York's only redeeming feature; I left your old and crumbling city, flying out of one of the dirtiest airports I've ever been in, for a cleaner better city out West. Having done it once, I see no need to ever do it again...you deserve the place.

Tavern On The Green, eh? And a few of the go-to museums?

Yeah, you certainly did it all!

The only things he missed were MOMA, the Met, the library, St. Patrick's, Bronx Zoo, McSorley's, Le Bernardin, the High Line, Zabar's, Eataly, Chrysler Building, Yankee Stadium, Madison Square Garden, but hey, he wanted to get back to that cultural Mecca, Southern California!

He probably whines and cries that he never did a Rangers/Knicks doubleheader at the Garden.
