And it got me thinking, do you believe in ghost and demons?

Like of a story you heard or something you witness.

When I was young I swore I seen a ghost. But now that I'm older I question it. I had a dream once, I don't want to tell yall because you make think I'm crazy. But give me your inputs and opinions.

I don't know what category I'm in, but I believe in the 'accident' of life and that this one life is all I get.

Demons I believe are inside all of us. It is just our base nature trying to get out.

Ghosts I dunno. If there is an afterlife they have to exist in some plane of existence. My dad definitely believed. He believed in real demons and real ghosts.

People that believe in spiritual gifts sometimes believe that some people have certain gifts but not others. If sensing (positive) presences like for example the Chinese I think do where ancestors hang around and offer guidance or help, I do not have that gift. My Dad claimed to. Not in a bragging way, but he always sensed things.

His mom died young so from a skeptic point of view it makes sense that such things would comfort him

What makes me a little convinced that some people feel things that I do not is my oldest sister. When my granddad died, she had no way of knowing. She was in the High School library when he died and said it felt like he was over her shoulder. My sister was not given to such delusions and not one to talk about such things.

My Dad new he was passing last year. He had a lot of conversations with m brother the Doctor that lives near where the built their retirement home. M dad did the best he could, but not all of us are close with him. I made amends before he died and he did the same for me. He wanted the whole family at his funeral not to be a great man but to apologies for some things. Only m oldest sister hung onto her hard feelings.

Anyway he told my brother that when he got to the other side as he calls it he would bring the entire family for a visit at the grave side. Hearing that raised the hair on my neck, but to be honest, I felt no presence other than the sun shining warmly.

One of my daughters went with me to the funeral. Afterwards, I took her to get some new tires on the car I had built for her. I still had some front end work to do so it eats tires. I forgot to have the ire shop air up one of the rear tires and it's weird they didn't notice. Rather than go back I hit up a Gas Station.

We had to wait for air. Some 26 year old guy, probably homeless, probably an addict was struggling with his kids size bike. I'm a good mechanic, especially bikes. I took m daughter home and came back with my trunk full of tools and fixed it for him (long story I know.) I suddenly felt m dad grinning. He would've done the same for the guy. I was tired. I had gotten up at 3:00am and driven 200 miles for the funeral, so I pulled into the shade and caught a nap. I woke in time to see a girl look like she was asking for some help. Begging maybe. The guy shook his head no. I felt impressed to go talk to her (that is the word my dad uses for being led sort of.) She had some pesos she needed to exchange to buy gas. I don't know anything about pesos, so I told her I had no cash but i'd get her a couple of gallons on my card.

While I was doing that, come to find out her husband who grew up in m dad's faith was inside counting out change for gas. We end up having a long conversation about his drug addiction, him being on methadone, and him wanting to get back to church but being embarrassed. Exactly the sort of lost sheep my dad spent his life herding.

So I grinned back at dad for wanting to push me into some sort of ministry sort of direction. I had planned, frankly to use the trip to the big city to try and get laid. It had been months, for various reasons. I knew dad would not approve, although likely he would understand. Talking to myself I told him, look I got things to do, quit sending me people.

I got in my car and hit the freeway. Traffic by then was heavy. I needed over so I could head south towards Tucson which is my playground. I tried to get over for 2 miles and no one would let me in, I was aggressive about it but traffic headed me north. I told Dad he was wasting his time, come hell or high water I was going where I was going. I had to drive 5 miles north before I could get back to the interchange. I made it to my destination, walked in in my funeral suit, met a girl and got laid. The whole thing was weird and controlling in ways that were very much like my Dad.

I believe in energy. I don't think our energy always completely goes away when we die, I think it leaves traces behind, like footprints in the sand. I think that energy can be good or bad. I think even living people can attract certain energies, or create them. I pop light bulbs when I walk into rooms more than most people should. Any room, anywhere, if I turn on light there's a good chance that lightbulb will pop. My apartment is full of broken lightbulbs. I also seem to set off some fire alarms just walking past them. I've seen things like ghosts, things like demons, but I don't really believe in either fully. I think it's just energy created by people, living or dead, that wanders around.

I think beings could exist outside the physical realm, on different planes than our own, and still affect us here. Some may be more sensitive to them than others. I think they could be good or evil. But don't think they're biblical demons from hell. Maybe a demon of sorts though, just not a religious being.

I know things about people I shouldn't know sometimes. Like I'll think "I'm never going to see that person again.". And then the next day they die. Or I'll know someone is pregnant, or in pain, or sick. Maybe I'm just really good at subliminal body language ques, but who knows really, I've never really tried to do anything with it. I'm unequivocally attracted to sad energy, sad people, even if they don't outwardly appear sad.

Most wannabes don't care to reconcile their beliefs...They say they are"spiritual" but don't believe in god....They think their loved ones live on...but that the dumbazz down the street does not...why would you get to keep Casper around...and shoo Fatso, Stretch and Stinky?

The day after my uncle died, my cousin had a dream that she seen him. She said he was talking to her (I can't remember what about) but she said she started crying in the dream. And then she woke up crying. She also said that he had wipe a tear off her eye in the dream and when she woke up the tear wasn't there. But I don't believe that, maybe she just wiped her own tear off while she was sleeping.

I didn't say I'm spiritual, I said thing's go on that can't be explained by the rules of the world we generally live by. Some of them can. Time and space are a fabric, it's movable, manipulatable, there's no reason for us to think it's impossible for us to see a person's imprint on that fabric who was alive before, but is now dead. I don't think people live on in a afterlife like heaven or hell, or on earth in a spiritual form, we just see energy left behind. I'm partial to reincarnation. I think the evidence that supports it is rather irrefutable. If there's a god, I couldn't say. I don't see a reason to believe in one.

I grew up in a very religious household. My mother claims I saw a demon when I was child. She couldn't see it, but apparently I was looking out the window, and appeared to be seeing something that was hard to look at, like it was grotesqe. I kept grimacing and looking away, and I kept asking her what it was, and I appeared scared. She apparently then commanded it to leave in the name of the lord, because she couldnt see it, and I laughed and said "It runs, but it has no feet." I don't have any memories of the event, but it's a creepy story, nonetheless.

I've seen a young a girl sitting on my bed in my old house, 12-14 years old. Blinked and she was still there, staring at me. Blinked again and she vanished. I've had feelings of being touched in that room, in other rooms objects flew across the room, things on top of the refrigerator flying and hitting the opposite wall, a heavy lamp flew off a sturdy end table with such force it broke the prongs on the plug, and landed in the middle of the floor, important notes weren't where I left them, etc. That house had stuff going on. When my oldest daughter was small I witnessed her being lifted into the air by some invisible force, and her toy giraffe that she had been riding on spun across the floor.

I turned and ran to my bedroom, but i felt like it chased me, and I dove into the bed, on my stomach, and I could feel the being go through my body. I woke up and I was laying in that position, and I could still feel the feeling, and it was the strangest thing in the world.

I believe in ghosts. When he was younger, one of my children would talk about things his grandfather told him, but the grandfather died 15 years before he was born.

I have a friend whose wife was murdered, they had a young child when she died. My friend's sister firmly believes the child and mother were having a conversation the night after the murder.

We have had toys and electronics turn on at odd times, and candles lit that we did not light. We attribute that to the guy who died here before we bought our house.

All these things could be explained away, but we'll stick with the belief in ghosts.
