I have to confess I've never looked after my skin (yes I know I'm a twat) and never moisturised my face. Mainly cos I have an oily t-zone and it makes my skin break out and partly cos I hate that horrible tacky feeling.

I've noticed below my cheeks are dry lately and seeing as I'm 46 tomorrow I need to start using summat. I've looked looked online at various recommendations but am none the wiser.

Any brands you think are the dog's bollocks? And no jizz recommendations thanks (apart from Rimmy ).

Every single time I need some I look and am always  there's just so many options with additives. Retinol, anti aging, wrinkle protector, wrinkle filler, day moisturizer, night moisturizer, for oily skin, for dry skin, SPF 100. WTF? Just gimme some so my face isn't dry.

Also, Happy birthday, beautiful!

Exactly! It's bewildering and boring.

Thankies! I might be snowed in though, roads are shocking here. Had a ton of snow yesterday and there's a big freeze now. Supposed to be the coldest night of the year.

I don't use any either, Fata but I do have some in the bathroom if I need some. It is called Proactiv Moisturizer. I love the whole system.

I use Orogold on hands and face.

I stay away from anything else but dove and o'lay for body because those two don't give me a rash.

I get the impression it's a hanging offence in the beauty world. Had a facial earlier in the year and she asked me what my skin regime was and what I used on my face. I said none and soap. She looked at me like I'd shit in her handbag. :(

I like to use coconut oil on my skin and hair. I like to use the refined jar that you find on your local grocery store because the smell is gone. I don't want to attract flies, lol.

I also use extra virgin olive oil on my face.

Do you have Clinique over there? Try their Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion.

I have like 12,000 different kinds but I don't know what any of them are. I just keep one on my nightstand and then replace it at random when it's empty. Right now there are two there and I'm not sure why. Wait, there's three. Shit I need to clean the thing. House. Need to clean the house.

PINK Sugarplum: Bath & Body Works
Moonlight Way Moisturizer: With vitamines A, C, and E, aloe and chamomile
And Jhonson's Baby Lotion, which has a phone scanny thing. I can't imagine what that leads to.

I'm gonna put some Sugarplum on my hands because there's a penguin ice skating on it and that's badass. In skates and shit. Make me feel like the Ice King from Adventure Time.

I use a little moisturizer for a more slippery feel, what ever is close at hand. Other than that I use nothing and not much soap either. The soap seems to take away the body's natural oils that are meant to be there. I just soap my pits, my groin, my asshole and that is about it. When I want that more slippery feel while in the shower the hair conditioner is my lube of choice.

6660. That's pretty awesome.

He's my favorite!!!!

And Fata, clinique is good and also Cerave.

Take my advice or not but this is the best non greasy skin moisturizer out there.

Stay away from all those water based "lotions". You have to use a "cream"

Lotions are good for on the go but a good cream rub in is a must have for nightime and whenever around the house and before you go out.

You're all blowing a lot of money on "Clinique" and designer junk that doesn't work as well as this ten dollar tub that will last you a long time.

BTW, what the fuck is PINK? I see that around. Is it a brand or a charity or band or what the fuck is it? All in capital letters like that. It's the logo on this lotion.

second on the coconut oil. just a little dab. not only does it help with psoriasis and eczema, but it's antimicrobial, antifungal, and antibacterial. moisture from a soothing oil without the breakouts. you can also use it to remove makeup like a cold cream (safe for around the eyes.)

Don't feel bad, we're in it together. I have oily skin, if I need a moisturizer, it should be a very light one around my eyes.

I shit in her handbag too. :(

My skin is really sensitive and I can't use creams on it, or I will break out like crazy, so I've tried a bunch of things for moisturizing that didn't work.

Then I tried this:

http://www.clearforme.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/garnier-moisture-rescue-refreshing-oil-free-gel-cream.jpg

Garnier Moisture Refreshing Gel Cream. It's more of a gel than a cream (even though they call it gel-cream).
Here's the Amazon page with description. It doesn't make me break out and it doesn't make me feel like it's just sitting on my skin, not absorbing.

I'm so not girly, I just wash my face with this:

But what do I know? Not much about this stuff.

I'll give ya some mois...... oh you said no jizz recommendations. Sorry. Go about your business.

Fucking Victoria's Secret. I've seen little tiny girls wearing that shit and it makes my ass twitch. For real serious. Ugh.
