Its a Brittish crime drama set in Birmingham just after the first world war. It stars Cillian Murphy and Sam Neil. Its on netflix.

I was into it and then I just lost interest around the end of the first season.

I love the exploration of the world of PTSD prole ww1 vets though. That's a mental universe that we don't think about much.

I had to put on subtitles to understand half of it.

I really wanted to like this but just couldn't get into it. Murphy is a good actor but I don't know what the girlies see in him, he's got a really effeminate face.

I liked Marco Polo too, Peaky Blinders is better though, imo.
Marco Polo is getting some bad press. People making fun of the white boy stranded in Asia cliche but, it's Marco Fucking Polo, the original white boy in Asia story.

p.s. Cillian was the Scarecrow in Batman.

Thats one of the reasons I find him creepy. That and the eyes

I liked Peaky Blinders a lot. I like me some Tommy.


They're bad men, but they're our bad men.


The confusion over women at the end of season two was a tad much, methinks.


I also like the whole PTSD bit, but I was rather surprised it all went away, and that we only considered Tommy's and Danny Whiz-bang's.
