We have a couple of weeks to go before New years, but figured I would start this thread before everyone really gets caught up in the madness of the holidays, especially those who travel for them.

So what are your writing goals for this year? Finishing up some projects from this year-or older? Starting a novel, a series? A certain number of stories, or perhaps trying for some new categories?

Post them here and as I did with the 2014 goals thread I'll repost this at the end of 2015 and we can access what we managed to accomplish out of this list.

For me its time to get back to my Circle series and write the follow up to the novel I published in 2012. That and at least two one shots featuring different characters from the group. I have one chapter of one of those started.

For lit. Sometime this month I am going to release the first installment of a series called "Milf Tails" all will be cougar/cub type stories several of which with the hot milf being the mother of the main character's best friend.

Next year I hope to post several of these and will again tell myself I will put a story in interracial.

I am also going to do sequels to a couple of incest stories. I always say I'm a 'thrill of the kill' type, that once the ice is broken in pretty much any story I write, I lose interest and don't want to do a series that is just 'and thsis time they do it in the pool!"

But a couple posted this year do have promise for at least one good follow up chapter. Mom is Bound to Please and possible Mom will do anything.

Last, but not least I want to crack the top ten authors list. I'm just outside at number eleven, but the next closest to me is Jaz Cullen. I'm hundreds behind her and is she posts anything....it will be an uphill battle.

I'd like to actually finish the several stories I have done in part.

Ditto, especially with a couple series. I feel guilty at leaving them hanging. I've modified my approach so I'll hopefully not write myself into any more corners. If a story need to be told in distinct chapters, I'll write them all before submitting. Otherwise, I'll try to write standalone episodes of story cycles, not series.

I don't know that polishing-off story fragments is a worthwhile goal. One of my writing models: Play the story in my head as if watching a video, and blog it. If one video gets stuck, switch channels to another story. Let each video play at its own pace. When it's done, it's done.

One prior goal / obsession was to submit an average of one story per week. Now, I don't care. I won't force myself. This is for fun, right?

That said, I do have numerous stories to tell. My goal is to tell them. That is all.

On the drawing board is a novella that's designed to piss all LIT readers off. The cops, pols, and elites coerce an average guy to take out the trash, so to speak. He spares the cops much racial furor, and saves the city tons of lawsuit money. Just today I read where someone went in a Tampa bar last night and shot 5 black patrons. But my guy likes black girls, and a few of them assist him. The end reminds me of a Schlitz Malt Liquor commercial where the hero walks inside a black church where Reverend Hal is whipping up the folks into a frenzy until they see THE TRASH MAN, then its an ass over teacup stampede out the doors and windows.

Oh, I should mention a forum goal: continuing to ignore assholes, dickheads, and trolls.

I have one goal: to complete a 12-15 chapter story. I have two chapters finished and three is started, so I'm on my way. I just have to keep the momentum going.

I'd like to get a story score a 4.7 or better, gotten close a couple of times but no such luck.

Publish at least 3 more for sale.

Compete in NaNoWriMo again and break 30k words that month. (We'll see with grad school, heh) Maybe take a crack at Camp NaNo.

LOL so I break 4.7 with a story at the end of this year. May as well make that a goal of 4.8 now.

Many more BDSM stories.

I'm surprised that I've done so well there. Both of my BDSM stories were very well received. I've been working on a story with a character nicknamed Kitten. She becomes an office slut in the April Fools story when her job offer becomes something else. Then I'd like to use her again for other contests. So it'll be kind of a like a series, with each story she explores new things with different powerful men.

More mother/son stories too of course.

Other than that, I don't have much desire to expand to other categories like I used to. Much earlier this year, I've gotten halfway done with another nonconsent Detective story, and a Mature story. I still want to finish them, but not much desire to do so.

I want to firmly complete the first major story arc of my Literotica series.

My major professional goal is to write and publish the sequel to my novel.

Work it harder make it better
Do it faster makes us stronger
More than ever hour after
Our work is never over

Goals? I don't need no goals! I don't need no stinking goals!

I'll just continue as I am, writing when I feel like it and not writing when I don't feel like it.

Different day, same old shit.

I'd like to do the FAWC (?). Is that still going on? How come I don't see threads about it?

In 2015, I'd like to rise to 800 stories posted to Lit. and the #4 position on the all-time production record list. And I'd like to have at least twenty erotica titles published.

I'd also like Laurel to get over her self-caused snit enough to go back to giving my stories Green Es. ;)

I started writing from March 2014, and the progress is somewhat haphazard. I've got a lot of great plots going on and none of them are shorter than 4 Lit pages.

- I half-completed one First Time story, and all that is left is to add the Female POV. I got to learn a lot of things from that submission (Thanks to editor robertreams and a bunch of beta readers!). I'm thinking about getting back into writing that story or at least finish the goddamn thing.

I learned a lot of things from that story, and my writing style is much different from the one I had started writing with.

- At 40 MS word pages (approx. 4 Lit pages), I have another Sci-Fi story with loads and loads of action. It would be of at least 6-7 Lit pages (i.e an extra 20 pages of writing) before I complete the scene and post it on Literotica.

- I've started an Incest-Taboo story with a dark theme. This currently is the best in my writings, which has resulted from the various writing advice I've received till now. It is at 10 MS word pages, and I hope to write at least 50 more pages before I post it here.

- I had gotten around to start a few contest stories, but never finished them. I have a Halloween story that I want to submit this year. It's still at its nascent stage, but I want to get it done before this year's contest.

- As of now, I have the outline, premises and plots of 11+ stories which I want to write sometimes in the future. I don't want to let go of any of them, as they're all dear to me.

My speed of completion is really slow, but I'm content with that. I prefer to write at my own pace. I don't think I'll be able to write anything substantial for the next 3-4 months as a lot of shit needs to be dealt with.

My goal for 2015: Post at least 2 stories on Lit.

I've been in a limbo since finishing my last novel... some of that has been the life changes I've gone through, including a new job that dramatically shifted my sleeping patterns.

The desire just wasn't there. It wasn't that I "couldn't" write. It just never became a priority.

I believe that is starting to shift back.

I want to write the sequel to Real Vampires Don't Surf that was so strongly fore-shadowed. I want to finish two other WIP's that have literally been years in the making.

...and I want to become a poet again. I think not writing poetry, even if only for my own consumption, was a huge mistake.

I'd actually just like to find the time to finish editing this pretty average sized story, I've been working on for over a year.

Finish a Series (Finally) and Write A Novel Length

My two goals are to finish my story "Waiting for Her Ship To Come In". Chapter 2 will be essentially a wedding comedy, and also dealing with the birth of their first child). Chapter 3 will be after the death of Mel, and show the other character as a mature single parent trying to put herself out there and find love again.

The novel-length goal is more ambitious. I want to write a story with two main characters. The first is a high school senior who is sexually predatory. Her behavior stems out of her abusive and controlling home situation. The second character is a 45-50 year old woman who is married, but realizes that she's gay. The characters interact when the younger woman preys on the older woman. This story is going to have a lot of varied sexual situations including lesbian sex, reluctance, gay male, and group sex. Essentially, it's going to show the younger woman spinning out of control until she has a breakdown, and then the older woman who establishes a stable relationship with a 3rd woman, rescuing her and helping her begin the healing process from the abuse she's suffered. As I said, it's really ambitious and I'm really going to have to stretch myself by writing a character that's not very nice, and still making her sympathetic and ultimately portraying her as a vulnerable person trying to overcome her past.

I hate goals, They mean I either have to do something or I feel bad when I don't.

Having said that ... I've been very apathetic about doing any writing for a month or so, and haven't done anything. Sooooo, I would like to get over that, and a/ finish more of the stories that I've started, b/ decide on just a few categories to concentrate on. I've been sort of bouncing around partly on my posted stories but also on the one's I've started.

Before 2015 is out I need to at least have my novel copywritten.

Great Topic LC

Lovecraft, as always, nails a great idea. This time writing goals.

Mine are fairly simple.

I want to sell more than just a few hundred over at smash'em words. Don't know why that doesn't work there better. Have to figure that out.

Want to write more than a couple of Lit stories next year. I think I only got two of mine finished this year. My production should be picking up, but it's falling off. duh...

I want to write an entire first draft without stopping to masturbate (too much information? LOL). I know, I know. Damned ambitious of me. And, why deny myself, right?

LC, curious to know how you handle (;-) that.

Finally, my goal is to provoke readers, and make them sit back after they've read, and pause. Make them THINK about what they just read.

I just submitted my first story yesterday, I hope it goes through. I am very new to this, I would like to start writing stories that are similar to what's been happening lately. I would like readers to get into the mind a young 21 year old who is being asked to have sex with older married couples. I haven't really seen many stories on this. It would be a nice way to chronicle my life and also add a different element to the other stories. Still very nervous about this.

Ditto.

Having admitted that:

- I will finish my third novel, and hopefully fourth and fifth.
- I will be braver at promoting myself.
- I will submit at least 3 stories to Lit.
- I will update my website at least twice a month.

The second one is what I have problems with.
