Thanks to all the thoughtful messages in reply to my original post! I was a little embarrassed to have posted such a request that I did, but not so much anymore. Why are you so concerned that you deny my request and keep them (this one anyway) going? Seems a little antagonistic to me. You're not supposed to "get it", you're just suposed to "respect it". Please stop and let this die. I said please before and again now, so I hope that's enough for a reasonable person to just let it go.

You're supposed to respect my genuinely curious question. Thanking someone in advance after telling them what they're supposed to do isn't really a request, you know, it's a command, regardless of how many times you say "please".
