I don't know if the Bean and I are the only two Jews on Lit, but if there are any others out there, Happy Hannukah.

Or as an old friend used to tell me, Happy Harmonica. It's the thought that counts.

Brookline, MA has been decorated for weeks. It will be a bit less bustling, on this night.

Hope that all will be well, and that everyone is safe and cozy.

I'm not Jewish, but Happy Hannukah to you and the bean.

You are not the only ones, there are actually quite a few Jews on here.
Happy Hannukah! :rose:

Names please. and thanks.
You dumb cunt. lol.

You don't need deck the halls or jungle bell rock cuz you can spin a draedel with Captain Kirk AND Mr. Spock!

Both Jewish.

Happy Hannukah to you and Mrz. Bean.

Don't be calling me names just because you Red Sea Pedestrians stole a holiday from Hinduism!

Totally different holiday. Almost all Jewish holidays except the high holidays are based on "they tried to kill us but we won, so let's eat."

Except for Yom Kippur where we don't eat at all.

I always tell people that the difference between Jews and non-Jews is that they drink to celebrate while we eat.

Plenty of shops, for all your holiday needs. The real bakery and the real deli moved to Canada. *shrug*

Let me guess-

They would not know a real, tasty, beautiful, handmade bagel, if it went stale and bopped them on the noggin!

*cries, because these are not the bagels that I was looking for*

I would classify Yom Kippur as a high holiday.

The festival for the trees done traditionally involves 4 glasses of wine! ;)

Last Passover we gave our son his first mini cup of Manischewitz. I told him to drink it slowly but he decided to gulp it. Half an hour later he was saying how hot he was and took a nap.

As one myself (I'm actually both), happy Hanukkah to you and everyone else as well.

I'm so god damned full.

3 and half lbs of potatoes went into my latkes. And now I'm slumped in my chair scanning my system before crashing.

My wife makes 20lbs per year and gives most of them away.

Chag Sameach.
