Why is the media promoting transgenderism so heavily?

I agree the media attention being accorded transgender people seems disproportionate to their numbers and of course they should not be discriminated against, either individually or institutionally.

But what makes you think there is some "media agenda" beyond just bandwagon jumping?

Then what? You said women are just as strong as men in the pure brute strength department....time to back it up or admit you were blowing hot air cupcake.

Records are records man it's not some sexist agenda that guys can dead lift/bench press several hundred lbs more than the worlds strongest women and run sprints/marathons several seconds/min faster than the worlds fastest women.

So show me evidence of women being on par with men in the brute strength department or get off your "YOUZ SO SEXIST FOR POINTING OUT REAL WORLD DIFFERENCES!!" high horse.

Not opinions, not sociological theory crafting or odd ball hypothesis driven by a political agenda.

I want FACTS...DATA...something supporting your assertion that women got just as much brute strength as men. That the only reason they don't compete is because it's in their head that they can't....not the fact that he's 2-3x her size with up to 6x the muscle mass...nope. It's a societal mind job at work there right?

That about sum it up??

Here is a fair fight, marine vs marine.

If you look at my recent threads, almost all of them are questioning what I see going on in the US. I am questioning a LOT of things these days. There is a common theme but I am not ready to string it together because I haven't figured things out in my mind. That is the purpose of this thread and my other recent ones.

Ok.
Perhaps I read it wrong, but your op seemed to be asking 'What's so special/important about transgender people that I have to be subjected to media reporting about them?'

I don't think there is a media agenda. I think the media is simply a tool. I think it's much bigger than that.

I gave you a bunch of studies. You want to take the problem and use it as evidence. Which is what makes it sexist. So... not gonna respond to you anymore. Read the articles. Do some research, and then apply that to the seixsm inherit in the professional sports system.

"Why is the media promotion transgenderism so heavily?" is what the OP asks. It is a straight forward question. There is no need to editorialize, it isn't a Gotcha question. For instance, your answer could be, "Because there is big money to be made" and then you show a high ratings demand for such content.

Really? You'd like to see a tv show about homeless people? Some would call that exploitation, especially if they remain homeless and/or poor to keep the show going.

I'd watch a show on homeless people but not one about transgendered people.

I couldn't care less if some dude wants to wear a dress.

That's a crossdresser, not a transgendered person. And I'll watch the hell out of some crossdressers. Drag Race is on... what season?

I did read....bunch of feel good theorycrafting by the "Anything you can do I can do better." crowd without anything in the real world to back it up.

Where is the sexism in a run time? Lift weight?

you can't make them sexist..they are pure measures of brute strength. And the women can't compete, never have and I won't believe they can until they do as they have a strong record of NOT being champs of the brute strength world. Because physiological differences.

It's not sexism...it's biology.

I am not into cartoons. If you want me to understand your reponse to me, please use your words.

Explaining the joke ruins the joke.

And to get the joke it would take more than I would be able to explain in a post. It's that you're making a reference that sounds like a conspiracy theory in much the same way that the Question would, but you'd have to know the backstory of said character to know why that's funny.

It's that self-referential metahumor all the kids are talking about. That has taken the place of creative, actual humor. Because that's how we roll.

If your audience does not laugh, it means your joke failed. The "why" does not matter. It's still a failure.

Actually, it doesn't. It's self referential. If the audience doesn't get the joke it somehow means that you're cooler than them, because you have emassed more knowledge than the audience. This, itself, has become self-referential metahumor with the "You've probably never heard of it" meme.

But then again...

Freak shows are always popular.

How did you get that? lol

Easy. Almost nobody else seems to think there's an issue here.
So my reasoning is that funk simply doesn't want to be subjected to it, given that transgenderism is not going to affect her life in any way whatsoever.

I love science, I'm a fucking biologist!!LOL

Why do you think I'm asking for evidence to back up this corn ball bullshit?

You're just mad because your white knight theory that women can run as fast, hit as hard and lift just as much as a man doesn't pan out in the real world.

Women can do damn near everything as well as a man can, a few things better than men can, along with all sorts of shit men can't do.

But sheer physical speed and power are literally the only things that don't make that list, a list not even peeing standing up made.....and you have NOTHING to say otherwise. If you did you would be throwing all the records and statistics in my face and telling me to eat it. All sorts of documentation of a strong competitive history of women running as fast or faster, lifting/tossing/pulling just as much or more than men and men getting their ass beat in rings by women. Oh and about 30 women would be doing the same fucking thing, but that doesn't exist and it's not happening because it's bullshit.

Unless you have some records you would like to share showing women can indeed run as far/fast hit as hard and lift/toss just as much....I'm always open to changing my tune in the face of evidence.....

Is there sexism in pro sports? Absolutely....shit's everywhere. But it is not in the pointing out of physical differences...no matter how badly you want them to be.

Take the worlds meanest/toughest women and put them through the same training, they would get massacred on the field/in the ring. It would be so unfair it would be boring to the sports fan and disturbing to anyone who wasn't a sociopathic blood junkie.
