Jeb Bush and the Mitt Romney Problem

Having the competency to run something should be less of a problem than having no experience at anything at all.

...and as we have seen, the presidency is now a "No Experience Necessary" position. You do not have to make any effort to learn on the job, either.

Plenty of "on the job" training available for the asking, but the meetings are optional.

Oh, this is another Obama thread now.

Maybe you should read about him.

After graduating from Columbia University in New York, Mr Obama worked for three years as a community organizer in poor neighborhoods in Chicago.

He then attended Harvard Law School, becoming the first African-American president of the Harvard Law Review.

After Harvard, Mr Obama returned to Chicago to practice civil rights law, representing victims of housing and employment discrimination.

He joined the law faculty at the University of Chicago, where he was lauded as a popular teacher and an exceptional legal thinker.

In 1995 he published his first book, Dreams from My Father, a memoir, and the following year he was elected to the Illinois state senate.

As a state senator, he spoke out strongly against the coming Iraq war, a position that later helped him win early support in the Democratic primary race.

Mr Obama tried to run for Congress in 2000, but was thrashed by the incumbent in a Democratic primary.

But four years later he was back, running for the US Senate. He won that campaign after electrifying the Democratic National Convention with a speech about self-reliance, aspiration and national unity.

After his landslide election to the Senate a few months later, he became one of the most visible figures in Washington, and soon published a second best-selling book, a politics-and-policy tract entitled The Audacity of Hope.

Yeah I am familiar with his heavily padded C.V.

"Represented?"

You want to show me the court dockets with his name on it?

You want to show me his great work writing for Harvard Law Review that led to his position as President?

How about a single paper he wrote?

Last I checked state senators do not vote on use of force resolutions. As a state senator he voted "present."

Any recruiters at wall street firms remember allegedly making him a job offer?

After graduating from Columbia University in New York, Mr Obama worked for three years as a community organizer in poor neighborhoods in Chicago. What does that mean?

He then attended Harvard Law School, becoming the first African-American president of the Harvard Law Review. "Attended" assuming he did, is the only qualification we know about.

After Harvard, Mr Obama returned to Chicago to practice civil rights law, representing victims of housing and employment discrimination. He received a salary to be on the letterhead.

He joined the law faculty at the University of Chicago, where he was lauded as a popular teacher and an exceptional legal thinker. He read a full professor's notes to the classes.

In 1995 he published his first book, Dreams from My Father, a memoir, and the following year he was elected to the Illinois state senate. It is his book, he did get it published, the anecdotes about his life are demonstrably false and linguistics shows he did not write it.

As a state senator, he spoke out strongly against the coming Iraq war, a position that later helped him win early support in the Democratic primary race. Once elected he changed no policies of his predecessor if something goes wrong or he did everything different, if he wants to take credit.

Mr Obama tried to run for Congress in 2000, but was thrashed by the incumbent in a Democratic primary.

But four years later he was back, running for the US Senate. He won that campaign after electrifying the Democratic National Convention with a speech about self-reliance, aspiration and national unity. None of those fine ideals did he promote as President.

After his landslide election to the Senate a few months later, he became one of the most visible figures in Washington, and soon published a second best-selling book, a politics-and-policy tract entitled The Audacity of Hope. He won by essentially blackmailing his opponent out of the race with the disclosure of sealed divorce records.

Even if the heavily padded CV were not merely so much carefully orchestrated fluff, it is still awfully thin.

He's published two books, and you want to see a paper he wrote?

I padded nothing. That came straight from the BBC.

Courts? Wall Street firms? Jeez, do some research.

His handlers padded his CV, as is my point. Publishing a book that was written for you is not an accomplishment.

Remember when he used to ba a "Professor of Constituional Law" then he was 'a Constitutional Scholar" now he was "A beloved teacher, reading someone else's lecture."

It's OK to idolize spiderman or whatever superhero you like.

speaking of books

they ALL said he was BORN in KENYA.....until it was erased in 2007

:)

Six year into his administration, and the whackadoodle right is still trying to delegitimize President Obama's presidency.

"But...but...community organizer!"

Tis merely stage one of #OperationImpeachTehNegar

A former governor who moved into private equity, and then possibly a Presidential campaign? Sounds eerily familiar.

Bloomberg's take: Jeb Bush Has a Mitt Romney Problem.

The Atlantic's take: Jeb Bush Doesn't Have a Mitt Romney Problem.

so what IS THE PROBLEM??? With either doing that?

I would thing that normal people (not you), would think

CuntClinton getting $300K per speech at a College...and the prima donna demands would be a PROBLEM

I would thing that normal people (not you), would think

That FuxIndianWarren and how SHE earned her MILLIONS and what she says NOW would be a problem
