Is your home a converted Scottish Highlander regimental barracks?![]()
I've had a few threads over the years of house renovations I've accomplished since buying this home in 2007.
I've completed all but the FROG (finished room over garage.) About 6 months ago the boy moved out, again, and this time I sprang and took his "flop house" to the dump.
Sooooooooooo, with all that said, I'm pretty sure this will take me about 6 months to finish and once I do I'm pretty sure I will sell the house and most likely ex-pat somewhere.
The room is 24' by 15' so I have (and want if you have) some neat ideas for it.
I began by taking the carpet up (it is the only room left in the house with carpet) and this is what I found underneath. O to the M G.![]()
I was thinking along similar lines.
There's a kiltless regiment out there somewhere, thanks to that room.
I seriously thought about it, thinking I could work something in the room to make it work, but, what the previous owners did was..........cut back 2" from the wall and put tack strip down to hold the carpet I took up AND the biggest bitch was they GLUED that horrific material to the subfloor......
I had to come up with a plan.![]()
So, with that bootimus carpet glued to the floor, I took out my sidewalk chalk and drew out a bathroom.![]()
The carpet was wafer thin and the only thing I could think that would work was to put a thin subfloor down and eventually a floating wood floor.![]()
It's a Christmas Miracle!
Hmm, that's a first.
You used the ever-present sidewalk chalk for something other than a pentagram!![]()
