For those who aren't aware of what's going on, a site called "digital gangster" took down CL last night, and DNS servers are still pointing at the site that's re-directing traffic. This morning, CL was re-directing to a video:

What do people think about this kind of hactivism?

It clearly has pissed a lot of people off, but maybe those are the people that need to hear the message about net neutrality the most?

I think it sucks and will do little to further the cause of net neutrality. If anything, it will mean more money for computer security programmers, who are just the kind of people who have the skills to do this kind of shit.

Why don't they shut down Ted Cruz's page?

Funny, it has only been a few days since the owner of craigslist was questioned by a reporter about what is on craigslist.

Why don't they shut down Ted Cruz's page?

Because then DHS, NSA, FBI, CIA, USMS, Secret service and the DOD would come down on them like a fucking battle axe to their nuts and they know it.

Of course Obama just might air strike them too...he's done the whole summary execution of US citizens without any sort of due process via air strike thing before, he could do it again.

I'm not necessarily disagreeing, but the people who will suffer the most from a two tiered internet, are the exact kinds of people who post on craigslist for a living.

Looking through the comments on the youtube video, there are tons of people demanding the same kind of punishment that the (admittedly pretty horribly done) video shows.

because we dont give 2 fucks about THIS. we didnt look for THIS. we wanted to go to craigslist.. why would we give anything a listen thats forced upon us?

i was curious about the video, so i stayed to watch it. it didn't hit on the idea of net neutrality until at least half way through, and i really had to be paying attention to get the message. i can see billy bob saying right now, "police the internet more, so the thugs don't steal my vital information!" "please! save me from the rapper hackers!" billy bob has done nothing wrong. he just wanted to get his free cock shot on and try to score some cheap pussy. or he wanted to pimp out his farm supplies. either way, he is the target group for the message, and the target group said "fuck you."

go old school. take out billboards. tv commercials. use the creativity that is there, bubbling over, and hit the masses where it will not only be seen, but listened to. you get three seconds to convince them you are not an asshole and you are worth listening to. playing to your peers will not help the cause.

ted cruz hooked up to a bunch of wires connected back to their servers. don't serve the robot.
