Anyone here from Buffalo?

I don't know about that but have you noticed how small Hersheys Kisses have gotten?

Outskirts of Toronto. We have snow but nothing like that. I can't imagine snow taller than I am that was not the result of shovelling or snowblowers.

Reeses Peanut Butter Cups are where it's at. Or, those red Lindt chocolate balls. I am SO buying some next trip to Costco!

Oh really? I didn't know you were one of our Canadian ladies. I have some distant uncle in Hamilton, or hes probably dead now.

I bought those unwrapped peanut butter cup minis in the bag and they tasted weird.

If they have Sanders Salted Chocolate Caramels at Costco buy those. In the candy aisle by the chocolate covered raisins...lol

It really is a wall. wow

We had a wall of rain cloud, at the start of the weekend. It was so wierd- Normally, the whole sky gets dark.

Lake effect snow...big lakes = big snow. Now is a good time to be from Buffalo.

Don't people in Buffalo have more than a couple days of food in their houses?

No kidding. I could live for a good month off my pantry and freezer. Might run outta beer, but there's def enough wine and booze.

Have you been to the buffalo central terminal?

It's supposed to be haunted.

'this is what happens when cold air meets warm water'

is the water warmer than usual, or the air colder?

we'll see more and more of such events, of both extremes.

stay safe! :rose:

The air is colder than usual. Much colder. The water is probably a little cooler than usual, since the lakes froze over so much last winter and stayed frozen longer than usual, but it's the extremely cold air that is causing all the snow.

I hope you have a good store of food in.

Crazy snow! :eek::eek::eek:

Side note: nearly peed my pants at the ad header on that page "Hemorrhoid treatment goes oral." I don't think they fully thought that one through!

I spent two years in Buffalo on business....my FB feed was loaded with my Buff. friends posting pictures yesterday. It's very rare for the city fathers to declare "travel is impossible".

On a positive note, though, I don't think I'll have to hear them ruminate about "I remember the great snow of 1977...." anymore.

Crap, thanks for the reminder...If I'm gonna pray for snow like that, I better stock up on beer
