There is no objective way to judge stories as "similar." It is all subjective. Even if you sorted by central themes and plot-points every story is its own. Just have to browse the category. Think of it like a library...pick up a book, flip through a page or two...if it doesn't captivate, pick the next one until one does.

I've read thousands of hard-copy books. It is rare that I just can't finish one. Even poorly written ones with tortured plots have their moments.
