That thread was only meant to be updated when the status quo changed. For a while, Laurel was giving nearly daily updates, but it really only established that the 2 day wait between submission and posting had become the norm.

Your story should be up 2 days after you submitted it.

I suppose I ( in my alternate pen name ) should have really said, "Processed" rather than "Up". There is the possibility of rejection for content or grammar.

Incidentally, the upload form mentioned that it might take a bit longer if the story is in .rtf format. It is. Ho much longer is it likely to be?

Now that things have leveled off, I don't believe that's actually been extending the approval time at all.

It would still be a good idea to do future submissions by copy/paste or uploading a .txt file, though. You can preview the story when you do that, and that's a good way to catch goofs at the last minute, because the font, size of it, and placement on screen can make things jump out at you that you've overlooked during the editing process.

If you need italics, all you need to do is put the html tags directly into the text of the document you're uploading or copying from. <I>italic text</I>
