I don't see it at all as connected to traditional values or Christianity. I see it simply as an accusation by Barbara Bowman that she was repeatedly raped by Cosby years ago, when he was mentoring her as a teenage girl. The statute of Limitations in New York is five years. So not much will happen now, except the matter being shown the light of day. It's her word against he's. I think a true victim deserves more, but what can come of it now except the airing of a truth that can't be proved, or a defamation that can't be addressed?

The statute of limitations only applies if there was no mistrial, if all relevant evidence was presented in court, and there was no confession. If there was a finding of guilty in criminal court, the statute does not apply to civil cases, only double jeopardy.

If relevant information was presented, but the trial was handled improperly, the statute no longer applies.

There is always legal recourse for a victim to use the legal system even past the situational statute of limitations.

This is why her story bothers me.
