I propose that if you want to post an article, you should write your own paragraph or two summarizing what it is about and why you are posting it, then quote no more than 2 paragraphs, and then post the link. No more simply posting an article in it's entirety, simply because it appeals to you in a partisan manner.

I suspect that most of you here are morons who don't actually understand the articles you quote in their entirely. And that most people who agree or disagree are also morons who simply cosign or refute based upon partisan lines.

I am speaking to both sides, politically speaking. R and D, I think 80% of you are too stupid to take on my challenge. I see walls of text without commentary on right wing AND left wing threads.

I challenge you to prove me wrong, take this pledge through the end of the month.

Furthermore it is more interesting this way, you have to string together your thoughts. And we will respond to you in particular, not to the article itself.

Who is with me?

ETA:

Here are examples of potential stupidity. Same topic, differing sides, neither poster has demonstrated that they have an actual opinion other than what they have been told by their favorite partisan sources. No offense to either of you, but your shit is weak. If you have an opinion, state it, don't rely on others. Show us that you actually understand what you are posting so we can have a real dialogue.

You should have kept it to two paragraphs .... your target audience as it is.

This is why you're one of my favorite posters.

I have long challenged people to articulate their positions in their own words. I am told in no uncertain terms that discussion is meaningless without "cites" which means type your point of view into Google and cut and paste the first hit that agrees with your preconceived bias.

My money is most of them cannot do it.

I am routinely castigated for my walls of text...every word of which was formed by me. The usual cut and pasters call it "talking points" that I allegedly got from "Faux News" even though I neither have, nor desire access to television.

The reason they assume that is projection. They go to their favorite sites and look to be told what to think. And yes this happens on the right and the left. From my right-centric point of view, I see the quote with no commentary about what the poster thinks about it mostly from the left with the exception of bunny and I assume Jen since she has long been iggied.

There is a reason that right-wing talk radio has a lot of back and forth and left wing radio dies an agonizing death after the approved talking points are read off.

I entirely agree.

IMO, an executive summary of no more than 1 paragraph is enough, along with a link to the article for those who are interested.
