Ominous prediction indeed.

I don't make money off them. You could attempt to argue that I save money because of them. But that's not really the same. A penny saved is not actually a penny earned in the real world. 1.01 gives me slightly more options than 1.00.

Anyway the reality is that most people do not want them here, they just don't REALLY care as long as the economy isn't taking a dump. It's very, very easy to look at the outsider and blame them for our economic problems.

So it's not so much that anybody wants them as it is we neglect to notice.

Not that that really makes it much better.

It would have been better if I would have said saving money with them being here.
Illegals have been here in the U.S. ever since it became the U.S.
We haven't ever got rid of them and it looks like we will not be getting rid of them.

Unless you're playing the Europeans were illegals when the came to the US card no we haven't had illegals ever since it became the US. Immigration wasn't even regulated in most part for most of the first century and during WWI and WWII we welcomed them with open arms because we needed the labor. A lot of this, like a lot of things wrong in America can be traced back to Reagan, Republicans and the 1980s. Not that there were not illegals prior but that's when things got a little crazy.

Mean old Reagan! Granting amnesty by signing Simpson-Mazzolli like that! Letting the Democrats build the fence "later."

Is it later yet?

I think...

I omitted the rest of your spiel because - factually - that's all that is: you thinking.

You need to twiddle your little dingus more to that...

...let me know and I'll buy you a pair of tweezers.

You would have known damn well that was one of your threads.

I had no memory of that being my thread.

Here's the deal:

I admitted I was wrong...

...you obviously can't.

So...

...you just keep beating that old man chest as long as you need to, fluffy.

The fence is meaningless and anybody with an ounce of understanding knows the fence would just a visual (additional) visual reminder of our xenophobia and racism. Not an actual solution.

We often for get but Simpson Mazzolli did increase restrictions on immigration with increases under most presidents after him.

“At least for the last decade, and even longer than that, we have focused on two different approaches,” Passel says. “One is we have made it harder for [illegal immigrants] to get in and have even tried to block people from coming in. That’s clearly not working. There’s some evidence from some of my work, and more directly from the work of others, that it’s actually been counterproductive. What we have really done is instead of keeping people out, we have kept people in.”

The reason: Many illegal immigrants would actually prefer to move back and forth between the U.S. and Mexico, taking employment when it is needed and returning home to visit family. But by making it more dangerous and expensive to come into the United States over and over again, the immigrants decide to bring their wives and children and stay put once they arrive. Indeed, Passel says that some 1.8 million illegal immigrants in the United States are under 18. About 3.1 million more are children who were born here to illegal immigrants and thus are U.S. citizens. Whatever policy decisions are made in Washington, they will have to take into account the fate of nearly five million children.

So, yes, mean ole Reagan. What we're doing clearly is not working, more to the point we know who is really benefiting from this. The rich farm owners, who are part of the same rich 1% that run the country. If they honestly viewed this as a problem believe you me, it would get solved.

He has an extremely shallow grasp of American History.

Just an honest one. Funny whenever I ask what specifically am I missing all you guys do is swing barbs but I think the truth is it's because you don't have the tools to do so.

Keep'em, they'll be of use as you search for what's left of your integrity.

Integrity is a matter of honesty...

...I've been fully honest.

Your wanting ego needs to gloat...

...so you gloat.

How 'bout that for a "search"...

...enemy of natural right?

I dont' see how anybody could morally talk about American Exceptionalism. I doubt we'll have anything that is an "international leftist perspective of US History." I mean what is that even, what would that even look like?

It would look like college.

It means, "Vetteman just made an attempt to pull a shitty word jumble from his nether mouthpiece that even Damien Hirst couldn't visualize."

That's only AP US history - Advanced Placement. There's not much chance that conservatives will be encountering it.

So basically it just feeds back into the Conservative idea that education is bad.

#AcriptionAgain

Bad education, ie indoctrination masquerading as expensive education is bad.

Liberals have no trouble understanding this concept when their sacred beliefs are being gored. No liberal says that an education that includes creationism is good.

So why would revisionist, inaccurate history designed to show the success of leftist philosophy be considered good by conservatives, or any fair-minded leftoid?

Here would be honest leftist indoctrination: Our ideas have never worked (insert whatever bullshit blame others reason you wish) but we are just sure they will in the future.

Mandating classes pretending there have been successful leftist programs and civilizations in the past is a waste of breath.

Just because you believe something to be true, doesn't mean that others should be forced to be indoctrinated into your phony religion, any more than leftist kids should be forced to learn creationism.

Is that anything close to the likelihood of a liberal climate change alarmist passing a science class?

Education, especially history, is by definition indoctrination to one degree or another. We don't tell the story of the American Revolution as a bunch of spoiled rich guys who didn't want to pay the bill for a war fought on their behalf and realized the bill collector wasn't in an ideal position to make them do anything. We talk about how people under the lash of oppression stood up to a tyrant king. The version we teach/taught when I was still in school is slightly more accurate than 300's telling of the Battle of Thermopolae.

Creationism is insanity.

No. The reality of "leftist" revisionist history is that our ideas have pretty much all worked, you owe everything you have to us and the idea that conservative beliefs have ever or can ever result in anything but stagnation and ultimately death is to fail forever at understanding what a conservative is. By definition they have no dream for the future. No Conservative would have stood against the King. The Constitution (for it's time) was insanely radically left (and still based in large part various other social contracts like the Magna Carta).

Belief trumps reality 90% of the time.

Really we're back to where were last time. You're bitter because your side is losing. Your side is losing in large part because when you have access to a larger gathering of the facts it's difficult to cling to saturday morning cartoon morality where there are EVER conflicts anywhere at any time in history where one team was 100% wrong and the other was 100% right.
