No, because it's not feasible. There is no way to tell where a post was split from.
I've talked to the mod, and she's very graciously accepted my opinion that she was heavy-handed in this instance. I've asked her not to move off posts from threads without asking me about it first.
We allow discussions to go off-topic on topical threads. That's not what's happening here. You are interrupting other people's discussions about story ideas with completely offtopic posts.
