Happy Birthday Bronzeage

Thank you everyone.

Has anyone attempted a diagnosis yet?

A different dealer's gonna have at it this week. He thinks it's the security shit.
In the mean time, i gave her my van to use. She had it one day and says it's dead. Wont start.
If she jumps it, it'll start, but not restart w/out a jump.
She's cursed and now my van is as well

Van definitely needs a new battery.

The batt was great til she got her mitts on it. I'm thinkin it might be the alternator. If i ever get it back, i'll find out.

Belt slippage or a failing alt are possibilities.

In the good ole days we unhooked the positive battery terminal to determine if it was the alt or the battery keeping the car running. With all of the tech attached and involved nowadays, this cheat is not recommended.

That sounds like a dead generator.

On the other car, security system is the first thing to eliminate.

Amen. I remember my 66 chevy. Anything could be fixed in 15 min with a six pack and a half dozen wrenches.

Pensive Poet had a chevy,
cheap to find its missing links,
Now the bills we pay are heavy,
Pensive Poet, this world stinks!

:)
