it was a great party. i got to see one of my babies. he sat in my lap and told me all about how everything is going. it was so wonderful to hug him and see his smiling face. next weekend, i will get to see his sister, then i will be complete again.

also no longer stressed about the other shit. this is why i scaled way back on certain activities. actually, i more or less said these are my limits and if you want someone else to boss around for no pay, find a different volunteer. i'm doing exactly what i want to do, plus i'll actually get to enjoy myself. these are very important things for long term happiness and success.

i want to be around and excited about things for a long time to come, so i had to reevaluate my level of involvement last year. i will leave the craziness to the people who actually enjoy and thrive off of that kind of stuff. it's the same reason i will never be a PTA mom, but i happily bring fruit trays to class parties.
