I wouldn't hunt them myself since I have no livestock. Coyotes are already legal and I don't shoot them. I think I would feel bad. Too much like shooting a dog.

Good looking dog. He isn't actually part wolf is he? When my oldest was a tyke, we got a hybrid. It was 1/4 wolf. It was a good dog but just too bull-in-a-china shop with the boy so we had to send him back to the breeder.

Shooting coyotes doesn't work. Survivors have bigger surviving litters. 75% of their diet is rodents, so sort of handy to have around. Larger eastern variety does well on deer. Coyotes inside London help keep deer population down without hunting. Do a number on stray cats too.

Best way to handle wolves killing stock. Reintroduce traditional prey. They prefer it.

Wolves do not have blue eyes except as very young puppies. Some huskies have blue eyes, they are true domestic dogs.

We don't get to vote on such things up here. Not so specifically. The only time we have a referendum vote is on constitutional issues.

Years ago a girlfriend was looking after her brother's husky. Beautiful, friendly dog but he (or she... if she was a she she forgot to tuck...) had to hate having been brought down from Alaska to Phoenix. In the summertime.
