High Fidelity was boss. I kinda miss the social-network-less era it came out in, when everything wasn't so self-conscious and movies like this could be made sans bullshit hipsterism, celeb posturing and demographic upselling.

If you wanna see a great Russ Crowe movie, see his first international one that hit big over here (stateside) and made him a name-to-look-out-for, Romper Stomper.

He's technically the main antagonist rather than the absolute headliner, but when his star caught on and started rising, he got first billing in the marketing. Still a great movie to watch. When he was a young and lean and mean acting machine before H'wood got him thickened up on steak dinners every night.
