So I just bought a new Tempurpedic bed and I think it's the greatest thing since boobs. I absolutely love the mattress. However, it's a bit warm at night. Not awful, but definitely warmer than normal.

Has anyone used any cooling pads on their beds? I'm looking for a thin one, as I don't want some pad taking away from the feeling of my bed. I love this bed to death, save the heat. So I'm looking for something that makes for a cooler night of sleep, with no change to the FEEL of the bed.

I figured people here spend lots of time in bed, so I'll ask you.

Could it be that it's 90 degrees out have anything to do with a hot bed?

I've not used cooling pads.. but I've talked with people who have used Sheex (dri-fit sheets)
I'm interested to try them because of the texture but haven't used them myself.

I have the same mattress but use flannel sheets in the winter and satin during the summer.

Haven't had the heat issue you mentioned (other than when we heat it up!)

I tend to run hot but haven't noticed the hot issue with my Tempurpedic. Great mattress.

They’re super easy to make!

Step 1: Assemble your ingredients!

-Extra Long, Super Thick Maxi Pads
-Lavender Oil
-Witch Hazel (make sure it’s alcohol free)
-Aloe Vera Gel (not liquid)
-Foil

Step 5: Fold in the tabs and leaving the rest of the pad unfolded, wrap in foil.

Step 6: Continue making more pads until you have a big stack of them. Place them in the freezer and store them there until you are ready to use them.

We have a mattress pad that cools on one side and normal or warm on the other. It is nice. It of course doesn't stay cool after being on it a while but the other areas are still cool. We really like ours.

I have a non-brand memory foam mattress. We have just a simple quilted mattress pad on ours. We can tell a small difference in the heat when its not on the bed. If you are not already using one it might be food for thought.
