So I know there are some Walking Dead fans here, but wondering who's checking out.....

Agents of Shield

The brand new Flash series

Gotham

Marvel has ticked me off to where I won't watch Shield and I have not caught Flash yet.

Gotham is pretty damn good so far and the thing I keep thinking is this is not your dad's Gotham that's for sure.

But for me....I cannot wait for Constantine. They are even starting with the New Castle Exorcism and best of all....Unlike the movie version this guy looks like John Constantine

Thus far I'm sticking with Gotham. I don't get the other two in my TV package.

Constantine is on NBC. Not sure of it would be something you would be interested in, but you should be able to get the channel.

I want to watch Gotham, but not sure we have the time. I also want to watch to Flash and a couple of others, but hockey season has started and we might get the Center Ice package.

Funny, we haven't watched a ton of series TV the last few years but suddenly there are all these shows I want to see. Because I'm such a geek at times, I guess.

I think SHIELD is better than it was last year, although it definitely picked up once it tied in with the second Captain America movie.

Still waiting for Neil Gaiman's "American Gods" series. Which is not a comic, but he did write "Sandman," so it almost counts. :)

The second Captain America movie rocked.

Have you seen Guardian's of the Galaxy? Hilarious.

Excited to see Constantine, but wonder what Mr Moore will think? Many forget that he created The Hellblazer back in Swamp Thing #37 Good old Johnny was the anchor of the Vertigo line for a long time.

To show that people never learn, I got $150 for my copy of ST #37 way the hell over guide because the show is coming out.

In two months they'll be back down to the $75 range.

Hey PL. I forget. Who did the Bruins beat on Wednesday night? :D

No eye rolling. The playoffs are the only way I get through April, May, and June.

Playoff hockey is fantastic. But so many teams make it....either shorten the regular season or eliminate some of the play off teams.

NBA....nothing exciting about regular season or playoffs.

Football has it just right, but that asshole running the league is doing his bet to fuck that up.

You can see the pilot of Constantine here.

At one time I collected about 9 or ten Marvel titles. Then there must have been a major change of artists or writers or both because every title I collected went from good, to what the hell, then it completely sucked!

The one that comes to mind is Sam Guthrie. He was field leader of X-force. I have one issue where he is fighting both Cyclops and Havok to a standstill. He slapped Charles Xavier to prove a point.

Then a few issues latter he's begging Scott Summers to let him help polish the Blackbird.

It was the same kind of crap across every title I collected. I stopped buying not long after that.

I've watched most of the Marvel/DC movies, liked a few of them. So, so on the others. But the TV shows? I've not given any of them even a look.

Smallville may have been the last one I watched and that was just for the first three seasons.

My all time favorite without a doubt was "Sandman Mystery Theater" I would love to see that dark noir comic made into either a movie or a TV show. Wont happen though. It's not well known enough.

I've enjoyed Agents of Shield since the beginning. The early episodes were slow to start the series, but it was the little things ( usually Coulson's quips ) that made every episode fun.

I never read much D.C., so those don't interest me much. I had the misfortune to come into comics full steam around the Crisis of Infinite Earths, so the "Let's rewrite every character's history" turned me off of them. Hearing about it happening every couple of years only reinforced the decision not to bother. I didn't even watch the new Batman movies until earlier this year, and really prefer the Burton ones.

I'm a "Walking Dead" fan. I've not read the comic books. Since I'm sure the TV show is taking some liberties from the comic books, at this point, I'll stick with the entertainment of the TV show. I have my issues with it, but it's still worth watching.

I watched the first episode of "The Flash" and was impressed enough to watch another. Problem is, there are too many things being recorded at the same time, so Flash may have to wait.

I've always been a Marvel fan. My comic book history starts with the old horror comics (Tales of Terror/Tales from the Crypt, etc). When I slipped into superheros, it was mostly Spiderman.

"Arrow" is okay, though the talent of the actor playing Arrow leaves a bit to be desired at times.

I sidestepped Gotham. I'm not a big fan of the bat and even less of a fan of Christopher Nolan's Batman. As unpopular as this might be - I didn't care for Heath Ledger's "Joker" either, though I think it has less to do with Heath (who I liked) and more to do with the idea of super heroes/villains without real super powers.

I LOVE Agents of Shield and how Marvel has interconnected the movies with the TV show. From a storytelling/acting point-of-view, I thought the second Captain America was exceptionally well done.

Guardians of the Galaxy is just epic. Seen it twice and can't wait to own it.

If let's rewrite everyone's history ticked you off, then don;t read anything from marvel or DC form the early 2000's and up. Its all they do now. No, Spiderman was this, no he;s this. This one is black, this one is gay, this never happened, no wait, it did.

I think Wolverine is now about two hundred and fifty years old and helped Washington defeat the red coats. Heard he shanked Benedict Arnold.

Neither of the two industry giants have come up with anything original in years. Bendis started this off IMO with his ultimate universe where he got credit for simply rewriting everything the pioneers of the early days created by putting modern spins on them.

The only good stuff out there now is in the other publishing houses. Walking Dead is image most likely the biggest most original thing that hit in years.

Zenescopes Grimms Fairy Tales was another that I enjoyed. Locke and Key (Stephen King's son, "Joe Hill")

If you want new and something with effort stay away from the Big two at this point their comics are just to support the movies and TV shows.

LOL I watched Cap 2 twice in the theater and four times since it hit digital download back in August. Circumstances is all that kept me from watching Guardians twice, and I've had it on order at Amazon since the day I came home from watching it.

Days of Future Past did a good job of erasing X3, introduced truly scary sentinels, and quicksilver was fun. Fox has done much to redeem themselves after X3 and Origins Wolverine.

The new Spider-Man sucks balls. Thought the first one was blah, and couldn't stand the second one. I'll take the first trilogy, 3rd movie warts and all, over it. Sony needs to surrender the property back to Marvel.

Re-writing the history of the characters is a tough one. It starts to sound like Star Wars fans arguing about "is it canon?" Too many villains. Too many titles.

It's a crazy difficult storytelling challenge, much like the one faced by sitcoms or shows like NCIS, Bones, Castle, etc., at the end of each story arc, the world has to reset. And, if something really interesting happens (like Venom), what then?

Spinning off a character is one thing. Spinning off the hero into an alternative universe is too intrusive.

I always enjoyed the drama of Spiderman potentially running out of web-spinning fluid during a fight. I think it added to the suspense and, as a gamer, it adds a level of strategy to the fight if that resource is limited. Along those same lines, I think Peter Parker was more interesting when he was struggling to balance crime fighting between classwork between freelance photography between trying to have a dating life.

Yeah new Spidey tanked. Maybe I will check out Future's past after what you said, but my issue with the X-movies is my issue with X-men comics. Its the Wolverine show, All Logan all the time and he's sickening. A great character until he;s everywhere all the time.

Cap 2 was really good, just non stop.

But the Spiderman movies are an example of what they keep doing in comics. The one with the Green Goblin was pretty good, but....no, let's go back and rewrite it...

I have seen all the Marvel movies except Iron Man 2 and up and Avengers. I will not watch anything with Downey JR in it. I only saw Iron Man 1 because my nephews were up from Florida and wanted to see it.

But if he'll be involved in the Thanos/Infinity Gauntlet movie they are gearing up for then I'll have to deal with him, because I love me some Thanos

I really want to look into "The Flash."
Wasn't crazy about anything but Burton's Batman movies and the first Spider-Man.

Gotham, Arrow, and Flash are all VERY good shows...

I am a HUGE DC/Batman fan so my standards are pretty high...

Keaton SUCKED as Batman because he sucked as Bruce Wayne. Bruce Wayne is like 6'3, 225 lbs and very muscular...

Bale was better but still not tall enough as Bruce Wayne...

I honestly feel Affleck will be the best Batman/Bruce Wayne YET!

Ben Affleck is a good actor

But he is no superhero, none of them, he killed Daredevil and now he'll ruin Batman.

The thing is its all money anyway, the last Batman had an ending, he runs off with Catwoman....into retirement. Just should be left alone.

I liked Ben Affleck's "Daredevil." Hell, I liked Jennifer Garner's Elektra, too.

Tim Burton's vision of Batman, for it's time, was a breath of fresh air. I'd even suggest we have Burton (and Reeve's Superman) to thank for the resurgence of superhero movies.

Almost the first in line at the theaters for Bat/Iron/Super/man movies.

TV= Walking Dead, S.H.I.E.L.D., and have Gotham recorded.

Based on that, any other recommendations?

Daredevil died for me with Affleck and Garner in the playground. You know, where the blind man trying to protect a secret identity fights her with no problems, blind people do that all the time.

Bullseye saved it and despite the controversy of Kingpin being black Michale Clark Duncan(I think I have that right) did a great job.

I thought the solo Elektra movie was better because they actually brought in "Stick" and No Affleck.

My issue with him in any tough guy role is he looks like someone my daughter could beat the crap out of, but he's got money and plays who he wants.
