You can't dump a SCOTUS justice. He probably does want to nominate Holder for the first opening, which would most likely be Ginsberg. She is 81 years old.

That's one of the reasons the GOP wants to control the Senate, to keep Holder out of SCOTUS. They would never approve of him and even some Dems would vote to reject the nomination. It would be interesting if he is nominated because, at the hearing he would have to defend some of the misdeeds he has ignored so far.
