Proof that AJ's lying through his teeth - again

and everything that came before in posts, and afterwards, all shine a great big light on how you view these people. pretty much the same as those so terribly afflicted during katrina.

spin it all you like, liar.

Why have they just "accepted" what fate has dealt to them, and if they're willing to accept their fate, then why should I not also adopt the fatalism endemic to that half of the island? At least they don't have winter to contend with; maybe that's why they won't struggle on their own behalf...

I said that.

The people of Katrina let themselves become willing wards of the state long before the hurricane hit.

So when it hit, they were paralyzed.

They had become less than human. That is not being subhuman. That's racism and that;s what you accused me of.

One is a political statement and the other is bad science.

Phelia...

I replied to butters a lot more kindly than she addressed me when she accused me of calling Haitians subhuman, which all of her links prove. The only people who claim I said that are great thinkers like you, zip, Throb and butters.

If you actually look at the links, then you know I am telling the truth.

But you won't, because you already "know" the truth.

You're so superior.

AJ, your words speak for themselves. Watching you refuse to listen to yourself is amusing and sad.

Closing on "slaves are hard to motivate" was a nice touch.

Still not man enough to own your words.

i'm waiting with baited breath for him to deny the dictionary's definition of sub-human, and for him to bitch at dolf for her poor reading comprehension.... and anyone else who understands exactly what he said and why.

It's the Vettebigot defence.

"I didn't say slavery was good for black people, you ignorant, lying bitch! I just said that black people benefited from slavery. GET IT RIGHT!"

I'd like AJ to tell us the difference between those Haitians going through a natural disaster through earthquakes and Oklahomans going through a natural disaster through tornados.

What makes one set "less than human" and not the other?

Since he's feeling his fucking nutsack over his pride right now.

We should have a "Reason like AJ" thread.

Remember the successful "Talk Like Ishmael" thread a few years back? That was a classic.

I see.

You read exactly what you wanted to read.

My point throughout that whole thread was about them and the Dominican Republic.

"Them" being the subhumans. Oh, I'm sorry, not the "subhumans", the beings that are less than human.

Okay butters, I'm gonna have to throw your question back at you.

Which number is he on the Bristol chart?

All of these YEARS long feuds on the GB is what makes it all so worthwhile. You end up versed in all the minutiae, even though you were never there and may not have been interested if you were.

This particular one is like watching a hypothetical ping-pong match between UD "you said" followed by selectively bolded words, refuted by SgtSpidey "I didn't say that" #AcriptionAgain.

Out of context the two phrases "less then human" and the apparently misremembered phrase "sub-human" ....seems to me to be a distinction without a difference.

She said he called the Haitians sub-human, he says no I didn't.

Seems silly not to read the offending passage in context. In context I can see where Butters and perhaps a lot of people would not agree.

In context he is not arguing that they are in any literal sense less than human, even though the phrase appears. He is pointing out their society as being a fail for humanity. He goes on to list two other societies that he maintains are a fail.

No one is saying he said that people in Nawlins' are "less than human" or that Jiahadis are "less than human."

He implys that all three societies are not worthy of a helping hand because they fail at the most basic level of human society in that they will not (according to him) lift themselves.

So, I don't think butters is lying, she believes that his phrase implies that these people are not human.

And I don't think that is what 4st said.

Send remittance to Sgt Spidey in lieu of flowers, please.
