This a topic that has been beat to death by most accounts... so I thought I'd throw it out for some more "discussion." lol! I am about ready to replace my trusty .45 M&P with a 9mm M&P9 to be exact.

Pros: 17 rd v/s 10 rd magazines, lighter, less recoil, less costly to purchase and shoot.

Cons: Not as much "killing" power?? That remains to be seen.

What say you... ;)

With any gun purchase, the critical considerations are traceability and disposal.

Any gun will kill anybody. You want a gun that will still fire after being wrapped in a pillowcase for days or weeks, but not be so expensive you hesitate to throw it in the river.

Accuracy is more important than muzzle velocity or bullet weight/diameter.

Shoot them in the eye with a .22, they will be as dead as dead gets.

.357

When I shoot at something I want it down. I don't fuck around with shooting a dozen bullets at it.

My nerf gun could take your shit down.

Buy a weapon that you are comfortable with both shooting and carrying. "Killing power"doesn't mean much if you don't practice with it or leave it at home because it's uncomfortable to carry.

Maybe in say... New Jersey or Chicago... not so much here in the Pacific Northwest

Made me laugh.

Continuing the theme:

If you have no choice but to own a registered firearm, it's good to select one with a floating barrel and have an extra barrel, firing pin and ejector in inventory.

Yep. I practice on golf balls.

The extra .002" makes all the difference .

Well, no. The fact that it has a lot more powder behind it makes the difference.

If you use Speer gold dot +p 124gr I think the E is around 410lbs with a V of around 1250fps. I know there are some better rounds out there for the 9mm.

If you want to really start some crap bring up the .223 vs .308 argument or the AR vs AK lol.

Dude. Did you just roll your eyes at me? Don't make me slap my wang on the table.

Seen that .223 hand cannon?

I don't ascribe to the guns as a phallic extension argument, but that one? Maybe.

Same with the .410 judge.

If something needs shot with a .410, just give me a 12 guage with proper furniture and a recoil pad, please.
