If it's subject to vote of current posters, it's bound to reflect popularity with current posters. There are a lot of great posters, stalwarts, who've not been nominated. Lots of antagonists who left their marks on the board, too, who have been ignored.

I don't doubt that odd voting is taking place behind the scenes. There have been some odd results.

The course of voting has been interesting and I don't think it has been entirely consistent. Last round skewed toward longer standing posters for some reason (registration years averaging out to 2002), but that's been surprisingly true in several rounds, or even throughout. Several people who haven't been here for years have been elected, and perhaps even mostly legitimately.

He never seems to be seconded enough to make it to actual voting—I assume for a variety of reasons. It's not enough to be nominated and seconded, it also depends on how many times you are seconded.
